The Students' Psychological Society would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the University of Saint Louis – Tuguegarao and the Junior Association of Psychology Students for providing a wonderful opportunity for our psychology students to broaden their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the ever-changing environment shaped by technology.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Dennis Edralin for his unwavering support for the endeavors of the Psychology students. Your guidance continue to inspire us in our pursuit of excellence. Truly, your support motivates us to strive harder and serve our communities with compassion and purpose.

The PsyColloquy Regional Convergence “Mind the Future: Innovating Psychology with Purpose” not only offered valuable insights but also meaningful hands-on experiences that contributed significantly to the academic and personal growth of our psychology students. The learnings and exposure they gained from this program will undoubtedly help them navigate their field with greater confidence and purpose.

As they return to their institution, they will bring with them not only new knowledge but also renewed motivation to pursue excellence in their future profession. With every opportunity like this, they grow closer to becoming the next generation of mental health advocates and leaders in the field of psychology.

LOOK | FUTURE MINDS RISING

The members of the Students’ Psychological Society not only attended but also actively participated and immersed themselves in meaningful discussions on various psychology topics—from the role of technology in the field to the vital contributions of psychologists in society.

The plenary talks offered valuable insights into current issues and developments in mental health in the Philippines. These sessions deepened students’ understanding of their future roles as psychology professionals—supporting community needs, integrating technology into psychotherapy, and promoting mental health awareness in sustainable and innovative ways.

Experiences like these strengthen their commitment to the discipline and nurture a deeper sense of responsibility toward the communities they will soon serve. Truly, this event marks another meaningful step in their journey toward becoming compassionate, competent, and future-ready psychology professionals.

In addition, the Adviser of the Students’ Psychological Society, Ms. Jerika Anne S. Alamin, facilitated an insightful workshop for psychology students from various schools. Her workshop, “Mind Forward: Empowering Young Psychologists to Lead with Purpose,” guided future psychologists toward meaningful and purposeful leadership.

Her session emphasized that as the field of psychology continues to evolve amid global challenges and technological advancements, today’s students stand at the forefront of shaping its future. She encouraged psychology undergraduates to explore their potential as emerging professionals—reflecting on how their learning, values, and advocacies can contribute to positive change in society.

Through meaningful discussions and engaging activities, Ms. Alamin shared her knowledge and expertise, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

HIGHLIGHTS | WORDS THAT HEAL. 💌✨

In one of our heartfelt activities, participants wrote words of affirmation on index cards — messages of hope, kindness, and encouragement. Forming a big circle, they passed their cards to the right, allowing each message to find its way to someone who needed it most. 💚

Sometimes, the right words come from unexpected hands — and today, everyone walked away with a simple reminder: you are seen, you are valued, and you are enough. 🌿

A SAFE SPACE IS ALL THAT’S NEEDED. 🫶

Senior high school and college students opened up and reflected on the five pillars of well-being: self-awareness, emotional regulation, social connection, purpose, and self-care.

This meaningful activity from our morning session created a safe and supportive environment where participants could share their thoughts, connect with one another, and gain deeper insight into their emotions and needs — all in the spirit of taking better care of themselves. 💜✨
