CSUA-CFAS SURPASSES NATIONAL PASSING RATE IN FISHERIES LICENSURE EXAMINATION

Cagayan State University–Aparri Campus continues to uphold its reputation for academic excellence as the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (CFAS) recorded an impressive performance in the October 2025 Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination.

Out of 59 first-time takers, 48 successfully passed, marking an exceptional 81.36% passing rate- a significant increase from 75% in the previous year.

Meanwhile, 11 out of 22 re-takers passed the examination, bringing the overall campus performance to 72.84%, surpassing the national passing rate of 69.61%.

This remarkable improvement underscores CSU Aparri’s unwavering commitment to producing competent and globally competitive fisheries professionals equipped with scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and a deep sense of responsibility toward sustainable aquatic resource management.

University and campus officials expressed their pride and gratitude to the newly licensed fisheries professionals, the dedicated faculty members, and the entire CFAS family for their collective effort and perseverance.

β€œThe results reflect the consistent dedication of our students, mentors, and administrators in upholding quality education and professional excellence,” Dr. Quirino G. Pascua, CFAS Dean accentuated.

The College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences continues to be a leading force in fisheries education and research in Northern Luzon. Its success in the recent licensure examination reaffirms its vital role in advancing sustainable fisheries and aquatic sciences in the region.

The College of Hospitality Management conducted an Instructional Materials Development Seminar-Workshop last August 30, 2024, at Cagayan State University- Aparri Conference Hall (Admin Lobby) which was participated by the CHM Faculty of Instruction.

The college extends its deepest appreciation to the guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Arlene Talosa, a faculty member at CSU-Aparri Graduate School- MAEd and the College of Teacher Education, for providing the participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to create high-quality instructional materials that enhance teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and educational outcomes.

VMGO & CORE VALUES | The College of Hospitality Management conducted the College-based General Orientation last August 21, 2024, at CSU-Aparri Gymplex. As a practice of the college, Ms. Diana Grace C. Licopit, MBA, one of the faculty members, presented the University Vision, Mission, Core Values, Quality Policy and Objectives, College Goals, and Program Objectives to all CHM students, faculty members, visitors, and other stakeholders.

Knowing our university's mission and mission and college's goals and objectives helps us align our personal goals with the institution's value. This will foster a sense of belongingness and prepare us to contribute positively to both the university and the community.
