2nd Semester, 6th Saturday Formation
‎
‎On February 14, 2025, at 0700H, the Reserve Officer Training Corps of Cebu Technological University–Argao Campus conducted its 6th Saturday Formation for the second semester under the leadership of the Corps Commander, C/COL SHAILIEN A SOLIS 1CL. This was followed by an inspection of attendance and proper bearing. Each platoon had a refresher on previous drills and commands.

‎Afterward, the cadets proceeded to the old library for a military instruction session on Weapon Training 2, conducted by the Argao Police Team, PSSg CIRRY A CHAVEZ The discussion focused on the M16 rifle, the five rules of gun safety, and the assembly and disassembly of the M16 rifle. The activity aimed to familiarize the cadets with the rifle and its proper handling. After the discussion, PSSg CIRRY A CHAVEZ and his companion were given certificates of appreciation. The session ended at 1200H, and the cadets were given time to take their lunch. At 1300H, the cadets returned to the Old Stage.

‎After the cadets practiced the ex*****on of manual of arms, others started practicing PASA MASID, while some cadets continued performing the assembly and disassembly of the M16 rifle. After these activities, the Saturday Formation officially ended at 1500H.

‎Lastly, after the LANSAG of the basic cadets, the aspirants started their training. They were trained in the proper ex*****on of marching, manual of arms, and PASA MASID. Their training officially ended at 1700H.

2nd Semester, 5th Saturday Formation

‎On February 7, 2026, the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Unit of Cebu Technological University – Argao Campus conducted an online military instruction. Before sending the Google Drive link, the officers first sent a Google Docs link for the cadets’ attendance. To help cadets with unstable internet connections, the officers created a Google Drive folder containing three military instruction videos. This allows the cadets to watch the videos anytime and replay them if they do not understand the lessons. They can learn at their own pace, whether slowly or quickly, depending on what is comfortable for them. Because of this, they understand the lessons better, improve their discipline and values, and become more responsible in studying on their own.

‎Followership 2 was Discussed by C/LTC ROBERT P ROSALES 1CL, Signal Communication by C/COL SHAILIEN A SOLIS 1CL, Military History Evolution by PVT NIÑO QUINN BRITANIA (Res), and Survival Technique by C/LTC ROEL B ALBISO 1CL. The Google Drive link was sent exactly at 1000H.

2nd Semester, 4th Saturday Formation

On January 31, 2025, at 0700H, the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) of Cebu Technological University–Argao Campus conducted its 4th Saturday Formation for the second semester under the leadership of the Corps Commander, C/COL SHAILIEN A SOLIS 1CL. This activity was followed by the checking of attendance. Each platoon conducted a refresher of previous drills and commands, while the Alpha and Bravo Companies executed the Manual of Arms.

At 0800H, after the initial formation, an NSTP morning exercise was conducted for all enrolled NSTP students as part of the physical fitness program. The activity was led by C/CPT JAMES LLOYD B TAC-AN 2CL, with the ex*****on of exercises facilitated by C/CPT JOSEPH R PESCADERO 2CL, and C/2LT JAZMINE B GEAGONIA 2CL. The exercise aimed to enhance physical endurance, discipline, and unity among the cadets and students.

Following the morning exercise, the cadets proceeded to the Kalampusan gym for a military instruction session on Basic Life Support (BLS), conducted by the ARGAO MDRRMO TEAM. The discussion focused on proper responses during real-life emergency situations, emphasizing the importance of staying calm, assessing the situation, and applying correct first-aid procedures. This activity aimed to equip the cadets with essential lifesaving skills and the confidence to act appropriately during accidents or medical emergencies. The discussion was cut off at 1200H, and the cadets were given time to take their lunch. At 1300H, the cadets returned to the gym, and the lesson was continued.

After the lesson, the ARGAO MDRRMO TEAM was given a certificate of appreciation to thank them for discussing Basic Life Support. The certificate showed the cadets’ gratitude for the team’s time, effort, and knowledge shared during the activity. After this, the Saturday Formation officially ended at 1500H.

Following the lunch break, the cadets were given a short rest period of approximately twenty minutes. After the rest period, C/CPT Joseph R Pescadero 2CL, led a series of games and recreational activities for the cadets. These activities aimed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoyment while strengthening the bond among the participants.

After the completion of the games, an awarding ceremony was conducted to recognize the outstanding performances and achievements of the cadets during the different activities of the celebration. Certificates and awards were presented to deserving individuals and groups as a form of appreciation for their participation and excellence.

The ROTC Day celebration officially concluded at 1500H. The successful conduct of the event reflected the cooperation, discipline, and unity of the ROTC officers and cadets, making the celebration a meaningful and memorable occasion for everyone involved.

On January 25, 2026, the Reserve Officer Training Corps of Cebu Technological University Argao Campus celebrated ROTC Day with a series of organized activities participated in by the officers and cadets. The celebration began at exactly 0800H with the formation of all cadets for the checking of attendance to ensure full participation in the event. After the formation, a pictorial session was conducted to document the occasion and commemorate the celebration.

At exactly 0900H, the formal program officially commenced. One of the first activities was the runway presentation of all cadets, showcasing their discipline, confidence, and proper military bearing. This was followed by the pageantry event featuring the search for the ROTC Muse and Prince 2026, which highlighted the poise, talent, and personality of the participating cadets.

An intermission number was then presented by the cadets per company and by the officers, providing entertainment and strengthening camaraderie among the members of the corps. After the morning program, the cadets were given a lunch break, during which a boodle fight was held. This activity promoted unity, teamwork, and fellowship among the cadets in a traditional military-style dining experience.

2nd Semester, 2nd Saturday Formation

On January 24, 2026, the Reserve Officer Training Corps of Cebu Technological University–Argao Campus successfully conducted a face-to-face Saturday formation at the campus grounds. The activity was formally led by the Corps Commander, C/COL SHAILIEN A SOLIS 1CL. The formation commenced with the proper assembly of all cadets, followed by the checking and recording of attendance to ensure the complete participation of the corps.

After the initial formation, an NSTP morning exercise was conducted for all enrolled NSTP students as part of the physical fitness program of the unit. This activity was led by C/LTC JAMESH*TFELD D Estelloso 1CL, with the ex*****on of the exercises facilitated by C/2LT JOHNFAT OLOJAN 2CL, and C/CPT JAMES LLOYD TAC-AN, 2CL. The exercise aimed to promote physical endurance, discipline, and unity among the cadets and students.

Following the morning exercise, the cadets proceeded with a series of drill refreshers and ex*****on reviews to recall and enhance their knowledge of basic commands and formations. During this period, the training officers also introduced the cadets to the rifle, providing an orientation on its proper handling, safety procedures, and basic usage. This activity was conducted to familiarize the cadets with standard military equipment and to instill responsibility and discipline in handling such instruments.

At exactly 1200H, the cadets were given time to take their lunch break. Training activities resumed at 1300H, during which further drills and ex*****on practices were conducted to strengthen the cadets’ precision, coordination, and teamwork. The continuation of these activities contributed to the overall development of the cadets’ military bearing and preparedness.

The Saturday formation officially concluded at 1500H. The successful conduct of the activity reflected the dedication and commitment of the officers and cadets in maintaining discipline, improving physical fitness, and preparing for upcoming training and inspections.

On January 17, 2026 the Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit of Cebu Technological University, Argao Campus conducted an online military instruction. To help cadets with unstable internet connections, the officers created a Google Drive folder with three military instruction videos. This lets cadets watch the videos at their own pace and learn in a way that works best for them, helping them understand the lessons better, build discipline and values, and practice learning on their own.
