NEGROS COLLEGE ROTC UNIT PRESENTATION OF SPONSORS AND ESCORTS (POSE) 2026–2027

On October 25, 2026, at exactly 0900H, the Negros College ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts (POSE) for Academic Year 2026–2027 at the South Poblacion Elementary School Ground, Tampocon II, Ayungon, Negros Oriental.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this significant occasion. Our sincerest appreciation goes to our Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon. Raffy Alipio S. Andaya, J.D., Municipal Mayor of Manjuyod, for gracing the event with his presence and support.

We are equally grateful to the Negros College ROTC Unit (NCROTCU) for its unwavering support; our NSTP Coordinator, Ms. Shielamai D. Araneta, LPT; our Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rebecca R. Alferez; the Administrative Assistants of the Deans of our various college departments; and the Director of the 703rd Community Defense Center, LTC BRELYN M BITOY GSC (AGS) PA and our Commandant, CPT GUILLERMO Z BANJAO PA (RES) Special thanks are also extended to our Admin NCO, TSg Reneboy S Bantayao (AGS) PA, and our Band Master, Ms. Marifel B. Alpuerto, and to our Tactical NCO/ROTC Instructors and graduate Military Assistant for their invaluable contributions and dedication.

The highlight of the ceremony was the formal presentation of the Sponsors and Escorts of the ROTC Advance Cadet Officers, showcasing their confidence, discipline, military bearing, and commitment to military traditions. The event emphasized the importance of leadership, camaraderie, responsibility, and excellence in shaping the next generation of disciplined and service-oriented reserve officers.

Once again, congratulations to everyone who made this event a success!

On October 18, 2026, at exactly 0700H, the Negros College ROTC Unit commenced its training period with the formation of the Basic Cadets and Cadettes.

The whole-day training activity was conducted under the supervision of the NSTP Coordinator, Ms. Shielamai D. Araneta, LPT, and facilitated by Sgt Maris Cabrera (INF) PA, Sgt Sietemar T Villarojo Inf PA (Res), and Sgt Meviboy Moreño PA (Res), together with the Band Master, Ms. Marifel B. Alpuerto, and the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs).

The unit also recognized the active participation and valuable assistance of the Advance Cadet Officers, led by Cdt Col Lourdlino A Anjao, 1CL, who contributed to the successful conduct of the training activity.

During the training period, the Basic Cadets and Cadettes conducted practice drills and a final rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts (POSE) Ceremony. The activity aimed to enhance their coordination, discipline, bearing, and readiness for the forthcoming ceremony.

Overall, the training activity provided the cadets and cadettes with an opportunity to improve their performance and ensure their preparedness for the upcoming event, reflecting the values of Service, Honor, and Patriotism.

On 11 October 2026 at exactly 0700H the Negros College ROTC Unit Training period began a formation of the Basic Cadets/Cadettes led by the ROTC Advance Cadet Officers together with the active Graduate Military Assistant (GMA’s) who facilitated in the inspection of their proper bearing such as their uniforms, and overall readiness.

With the supervision of our NSTP Coordinator MS. SHIELAMAI D. ARANETA, LPT together with the ROTC Instructors Sgt Sietemar T Villarojo Inf PA (Res) and Sgt Meviboy Moreño PA (Res)

The cadets conducted a practice session in preparation for the upcoming Presentation of Sponsors (POS). During the practice, the cadets reviewed their assigned roles, practiced the proper movements and formations, and familiarized themselves with the sequence of the program. They also worked together to improve their coordination, discipline, confidence, and proper ex*****on of the activity.
