𝐌𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬!

On May 23, 2025, the first-year BSOA students of Bacolod City College participated in a Mock Job Interview activity held under the Office Management (OM) subject. The activity was facilitated by Doc. Menchie Cuenca, Doc. Weng Tupas, and Mrs. Andrea Morales.

The event aimed to equip students with essential skills in job interview preparation, professional demeanor, and effective communication—key competencies in the field of business and office administration. Each student assumed the role of a job applicant, participating in simulated interviews designed to reflect real-world hiring processes.

This hands-on experience allowed students to build confidence, receive constructive feedback, and gain a deeper understanding of employer expectations. The activity served as a stepping stone toward future employment opportunities, reinforcing their growth as competent and career-ready office professionals.

𝗕𝗖𝗖 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟱 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹

What haffen, BCC? I know rank 5 rayt? 😮👩🏻‍🏫✨

From whispered prayers to nationwide acclaim, Bacolod City College (BCC) proudly ranks 5th in the March Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) 2025, secondary level, under Category B, which includes 100 to 299 examinees.

In the Secondary Level, 92 out of 94 first-time takers passed, along with 3 out of 8 re-takers. This brings the total to 95 passers out of 102 examinees, reflecting a commendable 93.14% passing rate for BCC’s aspiring secondary educators.

Meanwhile, in the Elementary Level, BCC achieved an impressive performance with 26 out of 26 first-time takers passing the exam. Although one re-taker did not make it, the overall result stands at 26 passers out of 27 examinees — an outstanding 96.30% passing rate.

To every taker, mentor, and believer — this victory is not just ours, but a testament to faith, hard work, and divine guidance.

Furthermore, a total of 16,282 out of 34,810 elementary examinees (46.77%) and 38,747 out of 62,225 secondary examinees (62.27%) passed the exam. Among the passers, 13,819 elementary and 32,624 secondary teachers were first-time takers, while 2,463 elementary and 6,123 secondary teachers were repeaters, as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT).

A Performance Task Under Events Management

On May 21, 2025, the third-year BSOA students from Section H, under the advisory of Sir Jason Jocame, gathered to proudly present the Solstice & Co. product launching event as part of their Event Management subject.

This culminating activity served as a platform for students to apply their classroom learning to a live, professional event setup—integrating skills in planning, coordination, branding, and public presentation. With the guidance of Sir Jocame, the students took full creative control in developing and executing their product launch, transforming their vision into a professional and engaging event experience.

Boasting a blend of business innovation and aesthetic flair, the event highlighted the students’ ability to work collaboratively, manage logistics, and perform under pressure—mirroring the real-world demands of event planning in the corporate setting.

In recognition of their outstanding efforts, Sir Jocame shared an empowering message with the class:

“The highest level of intelligence is applying and creating. I know that you can, so I give you the platform to show me what you are capable of.”

The Solstice & Co. launching stands as a proud achievement for Section H, reflecting not only their academic growth but also their readiness to lead in the field of office and event management.

On May 6, 2025, second-year BSOA students under the guidance of Ms. Teresa Hechanova and Sir. Richard Timbol gathered at the Bacolod City College Multipurpose Hall for the culminating activity of their subject in Customer Relations.

This event served as a platform for students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business scenarios, highlighting the importance of customer service, effective communication, problem-solving, and professional etiquette in the field of office administration. A variety of student-run booths were set up, ranging from food stalls and barbershop services to handcrafted keychains and bouquet arrangements.

Through these interactive setups, students engaged directly with customers, showcased their creativity and service skills, and collaborated as teams to manage business operations. The activity not only enhanced their academic understanding but also strengthened their readiness for future careers by immersing them in practical experiences that simulate professional environments.
