Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) alumni of Saint Joseph College of Baggao (SJCB), now serving as professionals in the ICT Office of the Local Government Unit of Baggao (LGU-Baggao), developed and administered the official tabulation system for BB. Baggao 2026 as part of a community engagement initiative of the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS) through its BSIT Program. Coordinated by Sir Randly Malabd, CICS Community Engagement Focal Person, the initiative highlights sustained collaboration between SJCB and LGU-Baggao in applying information technology solutions to support local government activities. The system was developed by BSIT alumnus Sir Richmond Rosete (Class of 2022) and co-administered by ICT professional Jayson Domingo together with Ms. Cielo Vee P. Ziganay, BSIT faculty member of SJCB and ICT Officer of LGU-Baggao, ensuring accurate and efficient tabulation during both the preliminary competitions and coronation night.
BSIT faculty members and student interns supported the deployment through system testing and on-site technical assistance, helping ensure reliable operation throughout the event. This engagement builds on the programโs earlier involvement in BB. Baggao 2025, when the initial version of the tabulation system was developed by interns Jayson Domingo and Jonel Asuncion, with faculty and student interns providing technical supportโdemonstrating continuity in innovation as student initiatives transition into professionally managed systems serving the community.
Through this activity, the BSIT Program continues to strengthen its commitment to community extension by translating academic learning into practical technological service. The College of Information and Computing Sciences expresses its sincere gratitude to LGU-Baggao for its continued trust and partnership, fostering meaningful collaboration that advances both institutional learning and community development.
