The UPB USC CAC Committee stands firmly with the BA Communication seniors in calling for the recognition of the internship hours they have rendered—for a just resolution to their case.

As the departmental meeting for the graduating batch comes close, we are calling for Department of Communication not just to critically but also compassionately act on this matter and .

For a college that prides itself on its mission that is "-to instill ethics and accountability..." in its students, it must also be willing to embody those same values in moments such as this. May it be reminded that ethics is not only something that is taught; it is something should also be practiced. That accountability is not only expected from students; it must also be demonstrated by the very institutions that lead them.

The experiences shared by the affected students reveal the immense academic, emotional, and personal burden that students suffer from when student welfare is not prioritized and protected within internship arrangements.

With this, we demand for a review, amendment, and strengthened internship policies and mechanisms to ensure that student welfare remains at the center of internship programs. Students must be assured that they will be protected through clear procedures, responsive intervention, and policies that uphold both educational standards and the rights of student interns.

Recognize the labor of student interns, give their case a just resolution.
