The College of Business Administration (CBA) conducted the CBA Echo Session: Women in Motion on March 13, 2026, at MJF Hall, with the theme โWomen Leading Quality, Integrity, and Continuous Improvement.โ The activity formed part of the institutionโs celebration of Womenโs Month, highlighting the important contributions of women in leadership, education, and community engagement.
The program commenced with the welcome remarks from the Vice President for Academic Affairs, who acknowledged the presence of participants from various colleges and emphasized the significance of recognizing womenโs contributions across different sectors. The message underscored how women continue to play vital roles in shaping institutions, communities, and future leaders.
The event featured a series of echo sessions by faculty members, where they shared insights and key learnings from the seminars and trainings they had attended. The speakers included Khea Joy H. Botes, Marga L. Taganas, Dr. Jolly B. Mariacos, Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, and Jonalyn C. Geronimo. Their presentations highlighted themes on leadership, professional growth, quality assurance, and the importance of integrity and continuous improvement in academic and organizational settings.
An inspiring segment of the program was delivered by the extension partners from Barangay Purok 27, Irisan, namely Maribel W. Espada, Loreta E. Torchangon, Rose H. Decwacten, Magdalena H. Corse, and Annabelle K. Ramos. Their presence reflected the strong partnership between the college and the community in advancing women empowerment initiatives.
During her message, Ms. Maribel W. Espada shared a meaningful reflection on the word WOMEN, describing it as Women of faith, Outstanding, Mother, Enduring, and Noble. Her message emphasized the strength, resilience, and nurturing roles that women embody within families and communities.
In recognition of their leadership and contributions to community development, the extension partners from Barangay Irisan were honored by the College of Business Administration through the awarding of certificates and tokens of appreciation as Women Leaders. This gesture acknowledged their dedication to service, empowerment, and community engagement.
The activity also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5: Gender Equality, which promotes the empowerment of women and girls, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting collaboration between academic institutions and communities in achieving sustainable development.
Overall, the CBA Echo Session: Women in Motion served as a meaningful platform for learning, reflection, and recognition, reinforcing the vital role of women in promoting quality, integrity, continuous improvement, and inclusive development both within the academic institution and in the broader community.
