As the University commemorates All Saintsโ€™ Day and All Soulsโ€™ Day, and in recognition of the importance of employee well-being and a balanced work environment, the following work arrangements and schedules shall be observed across all BPSU campuses:

โ€ข November 1, 2026 (Sunday) โ€” All Saintsโ€™ Day

โ€ข November 2, 2026 (Monday) โ€” All Soulsโ€™ Day

โ€ข November 3โ€“4, 2026 (Tuesdayโ€“Wednesday) โ€” Mental Health Break for all non-teaching personnel, including permanent, temporary, casual, Contract of Service, part-time doctors and lawyers, and Job Order personnel

โ€ข November 5โ€“13, 2026 โ€” Onsite work from Monday to Thursday for all non-teaching personnel, and a skeletal onsite workforce on Fridays, with the remaining personnel under alternative work arrangements.

Heads of offices shall ensure adequate staffing and the uninterrupted delivery of essential services. Offices handling financial matters shall ensure timely processing of salaries, benefits, remittances, and utility bill settlements, while offices concerned with enrollment shall ensure the smooth, orderly conduct of enrollment-related processes during this period.

As the University observes these significant days, all personnel are encouraged to make the most of the designated break while ensuring that essential services remain accessible to the University community.

Promoting eye health and extending meaningful service to the University community, BPSU, in collaboration with the Members Church of God International (MCGI), held the โ€œBetter Eyes, Brighter Future: Free Eye Check-Up and Optical Servicesโ€ on October 23, 2026, at the BPSU Main Campus. The initiative brought together the University and MCGI in a shared commitment to caring for the health and well-being of BPSU personnel.

Through the partnership of the BPSU Office of the University President and the PFEA-OVP for Non-Teaching, Main Campus, led by Mr. Ruane Kimpee R. Gaddi, the medical initiative served 200 non-teaching employees from across BPSU campuses. The beneficiaries received free eye examinations and reading eyeglasses from MCGI medical professionals and brethren, helping address common vision concerns and supporting the overall wellness of University personnel.

โ€œTo our personnel, please take this opportunity to care for your eyes and seek professional advice. Your health matters, and your contributions to BPSU are deeply appreciated,โ€ University President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag said in her message delivered through an audio-visual presentation, expressing her appreciation to the non-teaching staff for their invaluable contributions to the University and recognizing MCGIโ€™s partnership in bringing essential health services closer to BPSU employees.

Also gracing the event were BPSU Vice Presidents and Human Resource Management and Development Office Director Mr. Aaron C. Rondilla, together with MCGI City Servant Bro. Benedict Nuque and fellow MCGI brethren, reflecting the meaningful partnership between BPSU and MCGI in supporting the health and well-being of the University community.

BPSU proudly celebrates another significant milestone in its continuing pursuit of academic excellence, as four of its academic programs successfully retained or earned re-accreditation at AACCUP Level IVโ€”the highest level of program accreditation granted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc.

The Universityโ€™s Level IV accreditation achievement encompasses the following programs:

Advancing quality education and inspiring good governance, BPSU hosted the Students Transforming Governance Philippinesโ€™ Pagtatanaw: Envisioning Tomorrow Through Youth Leadership and Responsive Governance Caravan on October 16, 2026, at the Crown Royal Hotel in Balanga City. The gathering brought together student leaders and organizations from BPSU campuses to strengthen their role in shaping a more responsive and inclusive future.

As a flagship extension initiative of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela College of Public Administration and Governance, the caravan seeks to empower students to become active partners in good governance, public service, and civic engagement. Through meaningful discussions and shared insights, the initiative encourages young leaders to contribute to nation-building and to champion responsive governance in their communities.

The event featured key insights on ethical leadership in public service, youth leadership and civic engagement, and the principles of good governance, shared by Dr. Kristoffer B. Berse, Dean of the UP National College of Public Administration; Mr. Lui Joshua N. Cuadra, PLV-CPAG Faculty Member and College Secretary; Dr. Michville A. Rivera, PLV Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Ms. Loribel C. Santos, PLV College of Public Administration and Governance Faculty Member. Their perspectives highlighted the importance of leading with integrity, participating actively in public affairs, and becoming responsible partners in fostering positive change and strengthening institutions and communities.

A five-year vision took a major step forward on October 14, 2026, as the BPSU College of Medicineโ€™s pioneering Class of 2030, Masigasig Batch, successfully held its historic Doctors for Public Service Return Service Agreement Signing Ceremony at Crown Royal Hotel in Balanga City, bringing together the Universityโ€™s first medical students, their proud parents, sponsoring local government units, and University officials to formalize the studentsโ€™ commitment to serve the communities that helped make their medical education possible.

The BPSU College of Medicineโ€™s pioneering batch, guided by a dedicated faculty of physicians led by Dean Dr. Red D. Mendoza, is composed of 24 enrollees. Of this number, nine students were granted scholarships under the Doktor Para sa Bayan Act (Republic Act No. 11509) through their respective local government unit sponsors.

Under the return service agreement, the scholars committed to serving their communities after completing their medical education, carrying with them the values of compassion, excellence, and public service. Their journey forms part of BPSUโ€™s vision of producing 200 doctors for Bataan by 2040, helping address the provinceโ€™s need for more healthcare professionals and expanding access to quality medical services.

โ€œSama-sama po nating itaguyod ang adhikain ng Bataan Peninsula State University para sa mas mahusay na edukasyong medikal at mas malusog na Bataan,โ€ said University President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag in her welcome remarks to the government officials. She was joined by the BPSU vice presidents in expressing their support for the Universityโ€™s medical education program.

The ceremony was highlighted by the signing of the Doctors for Public Service Return Service Agreements between the medical students and their local government unit sponsors. The signing was led by Bataan Provincial Governor Hon. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, together with Mariveles Municipal Mayor Hon. AJ Concepcion, Balanga City Mayor Hon. Raquel Francis D. Garcia, Abucay Municipal Mayor Hon. Erik J. Martel, and the representative of Orion Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio L. Raymundo Jr.

โ€œAs we sign this agreement, we make a commitment that extends far beyond this day. We commit to learning with purpose, serving with compassion, and remembering the people and communities at the heart of this opportunity,โ€ said Ms. Jana Pauline Reyes Cruz in her message of acceptance on behalf of the scholars and medical students.
