Today, with heavy hearts, we announce and mourn the sudden passing of Mr. Alfredo A. Sagocsoc, fondly known to many as "Sir Fredo." A beloved faculty member, former Dean, mentor, and friend, his life and service profoundly impacted generations of students, colleagues, and educators.
Sir Fredo was more than a teacher. He was a father figure to many, a trusted mentor, and a respected academic leader whose wisdom, humility, kindness, and sense of humor brightened the lives of those around him. Through his unwavering dedication to education and genuine concern for others, he left a lasting mark on our institution and on the countless individuals he guided and inspired throughout his life.
Throughout his years of service, Sir Fredo contributed significantly to the growth and development of the College. He served as a faculty member of both the Institute of Teacher Education and the Institute of Engineering and Computer Studies, helping shape academic programs and mentor students and fellow educators alike. His commitment to excellence, leadership, and service earned him the respect and admiration of the entire College community.
As we mourn this tremendous loss, we offer our heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathies to his family, loved ones, friends, former students, and colleagues. May they find comfort in the memories they shared and strength in the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
