Research Seminar Series | Graduate Studies
As part of its continuing commitment to quality graduate education and research excellence, NU Bulacan Graduate Studies will conduct a series of research seminars designed to strengthen the research competencies of graduate students as they begin and develop their scholarly papers.
The seminar series opens with โFrom Research Interest to a Strong Research Topic: Identifying Problems, Gaps, and Relevant Research Directions,โ with Dr. Ramil Santos, LPT. This session will guide graduate students in transforming broad areas of interest into clear, relevant, researchable, and academically grounded topics.
More than simply choosing a title, the seminar aims to help students establish the right direction from the beginningโidentifying meaningful research problems, recognizing gaps in existing literature and practice, refining the focus and scope of their studies, and developing research directions that are responsive to educational and societal needs.
Through this initiative, Graduate Studies seeks to provide students with a stronger foundation for their integrative papers, theses, dissertations, and future scholarly publications, helping minimize difficulties caused by unclear research problems or poorly defined topics later in the research process.
By strengthening research skills at the earliest stage, NU Bulacan Graduate Studies continues to create meaningful learning opportunities that prepare graduate students to become critical thinkers, responsible researchers, and contributors to knowledge and professional practice.
