At the College of Veterinary Medicine, we celebrate National Women’s Month by honoring the transformative power of women. We are called to lead like the Babaylans—integrating compassion with authority to create a gender-equal and inclusive society.

We salute the women who serve as the backbone of our veterinary community. Your skill is your proof; your leadership is our light. Together, we continue to heal, lead, and inspire. 🐾✨🩺

Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) is a serious issue that demands continuous awareness, compassion, and collective action. This year, ASU SVM is launching a meaningful yet heartwarming campaign that brings together advocacy and the comfort our pets provide.

Orange Paws is a creative call for solidarity, using the love, loyalty, and warmth of our pets to inspire a community wide stand against VAWC. Through simple but powerful pet photo pledges, we aim to spark conversations, strengthen support systems, and show survivors that they are never alone.

📍 Venue: SVM Library
📅 Date: December 4, 2025
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Join us by sharing your pet photo pledge and help create an uplifting wave of orange in support of safety, respect, and equality.
Let us make our voices louder and kinder together.

🎉 Congratulations, Dr. Melanie Pelayo! 🎉

The Philippine College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (PCVDI) and the Philippine Animal Hospital Association (PAHA) proudly congratulate PCVDI President Dr. Melanie Pelayo on earning her General Practitioner Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging (GPCert DI).

A groundbreaking achievement as she becomes the first Filipino veterinarian to be awarded this respected qualification.

The GPCert (DI) is a prestigious, globally recognized postgraduate qualification awarded by the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies.

Dr. Pelayo’s achievement is a testament to her dedication to clinical excellence and to the world-class standards championed by PCVDI and PAHA. We celebrate this milestone with her and are proud to stand behind Filipino veterinarians who continue to raise the bar in veterinary medicine—locally and globally.
