This activity was participated in by the residents of Brgy. Macarcarmay, under the leadership of 𝐵𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑦 𝐶𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑙𝑜𝑢 𝑉. 𝑀𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑟𝑒.

The program began with a warm welcome from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐓. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐬, who expressed his profound gratitude to the residents of Macarcaramay for their consistent and enthusiastic participation in the college’s initiatives. He shared that "Macarcarmay holds a very special space in the heart of CIT," which is why the barangay remains a top priority for the college when delivering specialized industrial skills and technical training.

The significant highlight of the morning was the formal Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the College and Brgy. Chairman Marilou Millare. This partnership, signed immediately after the opening remarks, solidifies the shared vision of the academe and the local government to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities and technical empowerment for the constituents of the barangay.

The training proper provided a deep dive into the science of the craft. 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐁. 𝐋𝐚𝐳𝐨 led the first session, discussing the complex chemical compositions of automotive paints and the critical importance of safety compliance. This was followed by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐁. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐳𝐨𝐥𝐚, who explored automotive refinishing systems, sustainable practices, and the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). These sessions ensured that participants understood the theoretical foundations necessary for achieving professional-grade results.

Afterwards, the session transitioned into an intensive hands-on component, where participants put their learning into practice through a Return Demonstration. Under the expert supervision of facilitators 𝐂𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐁. 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐬, the participants demonstrated their skills in surface preparation and spray painting.

In a significant gesture toward long-term success, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫 extended a special invitation to the residents: for those interested in continuing their training, the department's doors remain wide open. She encouraged participants to coordinate with the automotive instructors to utilize the college’s equipment to further hone their skills. "The sustainability of this training is our priority," she noted, reaffirming that CIT is committed to being a permanent partner in the residents' journey toward technical mastery and improved livelihood.

The day concluded with 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞 sharing her impressions, expressing her profound gratitude to the CIT for bringing high-level expertise directly to the community to foster economic growth and self-reliance. 🛠️✨

Wrapping up the three-day Research Proposal Defense, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐓. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐬, Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, together with 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫, Program Chair of the IT Department, and the program coordinators; 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙤, 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙅𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙤, 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨, and 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙇𝙪𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙜 𝙇𝙖𝙯𝙤, expressed their sincere gratitude to all faculty members and partner colleges for their invaluable support and shared expertise throughout the activity.

The final day centered on the Automotive Technology students, who presented their research proposals. The session was chaired by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐎𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐀. 𝐋𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐲, Dean of the College of Engineering, whose expertise in the field greatly contributed to the thorough evaluation of the students’ research. Also present were Automotive Technology instructors who served both as panel members and advisers, namely: 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝘾𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙧 𝙍𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙧, 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙇𝙪𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙜 𝙇𝙖𝙯𝙤 (Program Coordinator, Automotive Technology), 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙍𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙮 𝙍𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣, and 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙯𝙤.

Joining the panel of experts was 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙅𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨 from the College of Teacher Education, further strengthening the interdisciplinary collaboration of the activity.

The College also extends its appreciation to 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙨 and 𝘿𝙧. 𝙄𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖 for serving as critics, and to 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝙖𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙯 for ensuring the statistical soundness of the students’ research.

With the conclusion of Day 3, the College celebrates the collective efforts of its students, faculty, and partner units in advancing meaningful and relevant research across disciplines.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐: 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐄𝐅𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The College of Industrial Technology successfully conducted Day 2 of its Research Proposal Defense, from its other five majors: Apparel and Fashion Technology, Cosmetology, Drafting Technology, and Electrical and Electronics Technology.

The day commenced with the Cosmetology Management students, followed by the Apparel and Fashion Technology students. The session was chaired by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫, Program Chair of the Industrial Technology Department. Serving as panel members were the esteemed program coordinators of the IT Department: 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙅𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙤, 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝘼. 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙤, and 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨. Their expertise and insights provided valuable guidance in strengthening the students’ research proposals.

The second half of the day featured the Drafting Technology students, followed by Electrical Technology and Electronics Technology students. This session was chaired by the Dean of the College of Engineering, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐎𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐀. 𝐋𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐲. Joining him as panel members were experts from the Engineering Department: 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙝 𝙇𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙙𝙤, 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙀𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙋𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙧𝙤, and 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙚𝙟𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣, whose technical expertise ensured a thorough and relevant evaluation of the research proposals.

The College also extends its appreciation to the English critics; 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙨, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙇𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙯, 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙂𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙯, and 𝘿𝙧. 𝙄𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖, for ensuring clarity, coherence, and academic rigor in the students’ presentations. Likewise, recognition is given to the statisticians; 𝘿𝙧. 𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙋. 𝙕𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖, and 𝘿𝙧. 𝙍𝙖𝙮𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝙖𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙯, for ensuring the statistical soundness of the research proposals.

The presence and support of thesis advisers from various majors also contributed to the success of the activity, including 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙉𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙗𝙖𝙧, 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙥𝙪𝙖, 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝘽𝙮𝙣𝙟𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙪 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙤, 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. The College of Industrial Technology officially commenced Day 1 of its Research Proposal Defense, beginning with the Culinary Management students. A total of 26 groups confidently faced the OREC, demonstrating their preparedness and commitment to research.

The activity was chaired by 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐓. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐬, whose leadership continues to promote academic excellence and collaboration. Serving as panel members were 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐓𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐢 (Program Head, BTVTED), 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐆. 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐚 (Ethics Committee Member), and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫 (Program Chair, IT Department). Their expert insights significantly contributed to enhancing the quality of the students’ research outputs, reflecting the Dean’s vision of shared faculty expertise and inter-college collaboration.

Also present were the student advisers who provided guidance throughout the research process: 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙤 (Program Coordinator, Culinary Management), 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙅𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙤 (Program Coordinator, Electrical and Electronics Technology), 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨 (Program Coordinator, Apparel and Fashion Technology and Beauty Care & Wellness Technology), and 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙅𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙨 𝘽𝙪𝙜𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜 (Local Research Coordinator, CIT) who also served as a panel member.

In addition, the presence and support of IT faculty members who also served as their thesis advisers; Dr. Jonathan P. Cabaya, Ma'am Lyca Miguel, Ma’am Mikee Mepua, Ma’am Nelia Balubar, Ma’am Lyka Colinares, and Ma’am Rica Velarde, further strengthened the conduct of the activity.

📝 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 conducted earlier today the Department Deliberations of Candidates for Graduation for AY 2025–2026, led by 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐓. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫, together with the program coordinators and SIP instructors.

The meeting focused on reviewing and evaluating 4th year students for graduation, with a total of 585 prospective graduates across different programs. Updates were discussed, including students cleared for graduation and those with remaining deficiencies that need immediate compliance.

The meeting aimed to finalize the list of candidates for graduation and ensure that all requirements are properly complied with.
