On October 17, 2026, students, staff, and faculty members of NEU-Rizal joyfully came together for a tree-planting activity on the NEU-Rizal campus grounds!

This initiative is the university's response to Sustainable Development Goal No. 15 — Life on Land. Together, we planted over 130 Coffea liberica saplings!

The activity was attended by numerous members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Rizal East, under the leadership of Bro. Arnel P. Macatangay. Also in attendance were Bro. Joselito Salas and Bro. Novo Africano, Ministers of the Gospel.

Hearts overflowed with joy among all who took part, as the activity helped broaden and increase our acquaintances and foster closer bonds with one another.

Here's to more meaningful activities that bring us together for a greener future!

A 9 year old can become a licensed ham radio operator in the Philippines

Amateur radio is more than a communication tool. It is a regulated technical hobby and service that encourages learning, experimentation, and skill development in radio communications, electronics, science, and technology. Because of its educational nature, young people who are interested and capable can be introduced to amateur or ham radio.

In the Philippines, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) allows individuals as young as nine (9) years old to take the Amateur Radio Licensure Examination for Class D or Foundation Class, subject to the required conditions. Minors must submit an affidavit of parental consent.

The purpose is not to expect a 9-year-old to become an expert radio operator. Rather, it recognizes that a young person can learn and understand the basic requirements, pass the examination, and follow amateur radio rules.

Age should not prevent an interested child from exploring science, technology, electronics, and communication. This curiosity, channeled through ham radio, can provide valuable learning experiences that inspire future careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics)—whether in engineering, telecommunications, or other technical fields.

The ham radio hobby is not about a person’s age. It is about curiosity, knowledge, capability, responsibility, and the willingness to learn. 73!

Today, September 25, 2026, the NEU-Rizal Branch stood together and participated in a university-wide earthquake drill — because when disaster strikes, preparedness saves lives, and at NEU-Rizal, safety is everyone's responsibility.

The NEU-RIZAL College of Agriculture successfully held its General Assembly and the official oath-taking of the Student Council Organization officers on September 18, 2026, at 1 PM, at the College of Agriculture Building, Laboratory Room 1.

On September 18, 2026, the New Era University Rizal Branch was blessed with a gracious Special Worship Service, dynamically proving God's unwavering guidance and help to the Church and His University.

Presided over by the University President, Brother Alberto R. Domingo Jr., the holy gathering delivered powerful reminders from the words of God. The congregation was deeply inspired to always make the right decisions by placing God’s commandments at the center of their lives.

With hearts overflowing with spiritual joy, the attendees departed with a renewed sense of devotion and a much stronger zeal to fulfill their duties.
