Across the halls of 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲,minds from different colleges and departments came together for a cosmic clash of knowledge. On 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 13, 2026, three (3) JIECEPeers proved that their curiosity can reach far beyond the classroom—and apparently, all the way to the stars. 🌌💥

𝐆𝐰𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐑. 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐨, 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐲𝐥𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐚 𝐆. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐒. 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚 represented JIECEP in 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 2026 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚-𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 that brought together undergraduate students from various colleges and departments of MMSU at the 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐅𝐋. Teams went head-to-head in a cosmic battle of knowledge covering space science, space technology, and their applications.

Armed with teamwork, quick thinking, and enough brainpower to navigate thirty questions across three challenging rounds, our JIECEPeers took on the challenge and came home with a 5𝐭𝐡𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡! 🏅🌟

From calculating circuits to contemplating constellations, this trio certainly proved that an ECE student’s field of exploration does not end at the circuit board. Sometimes, you just have to look up. 🌠🚀

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐆𝐰𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡, 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐲𝐥𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨! Your achievement is a stellar reminder that curiosity has no frequency limit, knowledge has no orbit, and JIECEPeers can always find another universe to explore.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫: 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝. 📡

This July 9, 2026, the ECE Department officially welcomed its newest batch of freshmen during the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 held at the Center for Flexible Learning.

Led by Department Chairperson Engr. Abegail E. Ruiz, the orientation introduced students to the faculty, academic and retention policies, and the essential foundations that will guide them throughout their journey in Electronics Engineering.

The program became even more inspiring through heartfelt testimonials from Sean Meiko Josh Pugal, Roman Vince Christopher Tabay, Miles Gabrielle Tomas, and Engr. Rachelle T. Brendez (Batch 2017). Sharing stories of perseverance, challenges, and triumphs, they reminded the freshmen that college is a stark shift from high school. They urged them to keep striving even as the difficulty of major subjects thins the ranks and revealed how they chose to stay and excel—even if ECE wasn’t their original first choice. They proved that every obstacle along the way shapes not just a future engineer, but a resilient one.

To our first-year students, welcome to the ECE family! May this be the beginning of a journey filled with growth, discovery, and unforgettable experiences. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the parents, guardians, faculty members, and upper-year students whose support and presence made this orientation truly meaningful.

‼️This is [𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘], a BSECE [𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟] of the Junior Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – MMSU Student Chapter, running on connections, caffeine ☕️, and 𝒏 more years until 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒓. becomes more than just a title I write in my notes. 📝

Another academic year means another all-nighter 📄💤, another race for the last working equipment 🔌, and another stare-down with my Arduino Uno code 🧑🏻‍💻. PATHFit still drops the hardest side quest—but we make it through anyway. 🪫⏭️

Every semester feels like another reminder that progress is rarely linear 📈, but somehow, we always find our way forward. ⏭️
