Following the powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao on June 8, 2026, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Baungon conducted a Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) today at Bukidnon State University – Baungon Campus.

The assessment team inspected the campus' Academic Building and Administrative Building to evaluate their structural condition and identify any damages that may require immediate attention. This initiative aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders while supporting informed decisions for recovery and rehabilitation efforts.

BukSU–Baungon Campus extends its sincere appreciation to the Baungon BFP for their prompt response, technical expertise, and commitment to ensuring the safety and resilience of our academic community.

Bukidnon State University – Baungon Campus is pleased to announce the successful completion of various maintenance and repair works that enhance the safety, functionality, and overall condition of campus facilities.

The services rendered included the comprehensive inspection and maintenance of air conditioning units, electrical system troubleshooting and repairs, and the inspection and maintenance of plumbing and water facilities in key offices, classrooms, and student comfort rooms. These improvements contribute to a more conducive environment for learning and service delivery.

Our sincere appreciation to the BukSU Main General Services Unit (GSU) personnel for their expertise, dedication, and invaluable support in carrying out these essential maintenance activities. Their commitment continues to play a vital role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and learner-centered campus environment.

[CAMPUS UPDATE] Modernizing Library Services through Tech-Driven Inventory

The Bukidnon State University - Baungon Campus Library recently conducted a Physical Books Inventory to account for all available and missing books in our collection.

To streamline this massive task, the library utilized a newly developed WebApp System created by John Jeric I. Trangia. The system modernizes the workflow—allowing books to be checked in real-time by scanning their designated barcodes, which seamlessly cross-references the data with the library's master system. 📱🔍

This initiative was successfully executed by our BSBA Interns, providing them with valuable, practical insights into internal library operations and data management.

We extend our gratitude to the interns for their hard work, and to our Campus Librarian, Viralou P. Indidanio, for supervising and leading this successful technological integration.
