๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿพ Two Proud Viscan Veterinarians Now Licensed and Practicing in Canada

Two alumni, Dr. Ariel Paul M. Rupa (Doc Arjay) and Dr. Sunshine Mae Ann L. Sabela (Doc Shine), successfully earned their North American veterinary licenses in 2024 and are now practicing as small animal veterinarians in Canada.

Both are 2016 DVM graduates of VSUโ€“Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. After beginning their careers as swine veterinarians in the Philippines and completing further training in the United States, they overcame the rigorous NEB/ECFVG licensure pathway (BCSE, NAVLE, CPE) to achieve full licensure.

Today, Dr. Rupa practices at Granville Veterinary Clinic in Edmonton, Alberta, while Dr. Sabela serves at Barlow Trail Animal Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.

Their journey reflects the excellence and global competitiveness of VSU-FVM veterinarians, inspiring future graduates to pursue international careers. ๐ŸŒโœจ
