𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗡𝗖𝗢 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱

Last February 14, 2026, the Smart Classroom of Visayas State University became a venue of precision, focus, and academic excellence as the Regional Elimination Round of the Philippine National ChemOlympiad was successfully held.

The event gathered some of the region’s brightest senior high school students, all ready to take on rigorous theoretical challenges that tested not only their knowledge in chemistry but also their analytical thinking and composure under pressure.

After an intense round of competition, the top performers emerged:

🥈 2nd – Zachary D. Tan (PSHS–EVC)
🥉 3rd – Gian Carl R. Bahin (PSHS–EVC)

Beyond rankings, the ChemOlympiad continues to uphold its legacy of excellence by creating a space where young scientists are challenged, inspired and prepared for greater stages ahead.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀: 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Brains were switched on last February 4, 2026 at the Smart Classroom as chemistry students from 1st to 4th year went head-to-head in the Entropic Quiz Bee—a true test of knowledge, speed, and teamwork.

Teams composed of three members each competed through rounds of easy, average, and difficult general knowledge questions, testing their mastery, teamwork, and quick thinking. The room was filled with energy, strategy, and true chem-spirit as participants gave their best in every round.
