During the laboratory sessions, students performed Clinical Parasitology procedures, particularly ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—น ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—น๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ผ๐˜‡๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฒ๐˜€, allowing them to strengthen their microscopic examination and identification skills ๐Ÿ”ฌ

On May 13, 2026, the Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacy students of Saint Maryโ€™s University reached out to 80 families from SMU TODA through โ€œSt. Marthaโ€™s Projectโ€, a nutrition outreach that provided food and support to our neighbors. ๐Ÿš–๐Ÿ’š

The activity was led by Ms. Reychelle Lumaday together with facilitators Maโ€™am Melchora Bautista, Maโ€™am Shiela Mendoza-Ramos, Dr. Elsa Cajucom, and Maโ€™am Cathelyn Mariano.

With this, MLS students were able to gain hands-on experience and observations that offered valuable insights in an international setting during their hematology laboratory sessions.
