Four years after Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. assumed office as the fourth President of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), the university community marked the milestone during todayโs flag-raising ceremony by celebrating four years of collective accomplishments and welcoming a renewed term of leadership following his reappointment by the NVSU Board of Regents.
As Dr. Dumale begins another term, representatives from the universityโs various stakeholder groups gathered not only to witness the celebration but also to affirm their support for the administration through messages of commitment and the signing of the Commitment Illustration, a symbolic expression of their shared dedication to the universityโs continued growth and development.
Among those present were Regent Joey M. Villanueva, President of the Federated Faculty Association, Inc.; Mr. Joel G. Degamo, President of the Association of Non-Teaching Personnel (ANTP); Regent Richmond A. Casol, President of the University Supreme Student Council, represented by Mr. Melody James Manuel, President of the NCSSC) Regent Marcelino T. Razalan, President of the Federated Alumni Association, Inc.; Regent Gilbert L. Cumila, Private Sector Representative for the North Cluster; and Regent Jeferson S. Binay-an, Private Sector Representative for the South Cluster.
The signing ceremony culminated with Dr. Dumaleโs signature on the illustration, symbolizing his acceptance of the stakeholdersโ shared commitments and a renewed pledge to continue weaving NVSUโs future together.
In his message, Dr. Dumale expressed gratitude to the universityโs โweaversโ for their contributions to NVSUโs continuous growth and success, while appealing for their continued support in the years ahead.
โHinihiling ko ang inyong mahahalagang tulong,โ Dr. Dumale said, emphasizing that the concerns of the institution are concerns shared by the entire university community.
Acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead, he stressed that the next term would not be easy and called for collective support, not for him as an individual, but for the universityโs programs and initiatives.
The university president also spoke of the opportunities and developments expected in the coming years, including the projected expansion of the university community through strategic initiatives that could increase both employee and student populations.
Ang oportunidad ay dapat manggaling din sa inyo,โ he stated, encouraging faculty members and employees to take an active role in creating opportunities for their own growth and professional development.
Dr. Dumale likewise encouraged stakeholders to verify information circulating on social media and to communicate concerns directly with the administration.
He expressed confidence in the university community and in the guidance, he has received throughout his leadership.
Alam ko hindi tayo mabibigo,โ he added.
Concluding his message on a personal note, Dr. Dumale reaffirmed his deep commitment to the institution and the people he serves.
Pero dahil years ago, I chose to stay for my beloved NVSU and I chose to stay as your leaderโฆmga mahal ko kayong lahat,โ Dr. Dumale expressed.
The ceremony served as both a celebration of the university communityโs accomplishments over the past four years and a reaffirmation of its shared commitment to advancing NVSUโs vision in the years ahead through collective effort, partnership, and service.
