Pangasinan State Universityโ€™s very own educator is set to represent the province of Pangasinan to the national arena for Mrs. Universe - Philippines 2024.

Marie Claire B. Briones is a distinguished educator and community leader, currently serving as the Campus Executive Director of Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus. With a rich academic and administrative background, Marie Claire has held various key positions at the university, including Executive Director of the PSU Open University System and Dean of the College of Hospitality Management, Business Administration, and Computing Sciences.

She holds a Doctor of Education degree from Pangasinan State University and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Pangasinan-PEN, where she graduated with the highest distinction. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Tourism as a cm laude from the University of Baguio.

Recognized for her contributions to education and community service, Marie Claire has received numerous accolades, including the Mayorโ€™s Excellence in Teaching Award and the Outstanding Covid-19 Volunteer Award. Notably, her commitment to volunteerism began in her childhood, setting a foundation for her lifelong dedication to community service. She is also a Regional Awardee of the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency.

Her advocacy is dedicated to empowering women, especially those facing adversity, by promoting resilience and strength. She aims to inspire others with the essence of โ€˜salt and bambooโ€™, demonstrating adaptability, perseverance, and the capacity to enhance every environment she is part of.

๐™Ž๐™ช๐™–๐™ก, ๐™‹๐™–๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™–๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ฃ โ€“ Last August 8, 2024, Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus held a highly successful Stress Management Seminar cm Team Building Activities at West Manor Resort in Sual, Pangasinan. The event was designed to enhance employee well-being and strengthen team bonds, with enthusiastic participation from both non-teaching staff and faculty members.

Organized by PSU-Binmaley Campus Non-Teaching Association the seminar began with a keynote address by Dr. Jenny Fernandez, who spoke on behalf of Dr. Jesusa Sanchez. Dr. Fernandez delivered a compelling lecture on stress management, focusing on the identification of personal stressors, the development of coping mechanisms, and the building of resilience. Her practical insights were well-received by the attendees.

Following the seminar, participants engaged in a variety of team-building activities and fun games. These lively activities not only provided entertainment but also significantly enhanced teamwork and camaraderie among the staff. Team A emerged as the overall champion with a total of 300 accumulated points followed by Team C with 200 points and Team B with 100 points.

The event also included a heartfelt despedida celebration for Sir Frank Manalo, the outgoing campus librarian of PSU-Binmaley. Colleagues expressed their appreciation for Sir Manaloโ€™s years of dedicated service, making the occasion both celebratory and poignant.

The day concluded with the awarding of certificates to participants, followed by closing remarks of Dr. Jonathan Jose Campus Administrative Officer V. The event was widely praised for achieving its objectives of stress management education and team cohesion.

PSU-Binmaley continues to prioritize the well-being of its employees, recognizing that such initiatives are vital for maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Dr. Jonathan R. Jose's journey in education began at PSU-Lingayen, where he earned a BS Industrial Technology major in Drafting. His commitment to learning and excellence led him to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree major in Educational Leadership and Management at Universidad De Dagupan, a testament to his dedication to professional and personal growth.

Dr. Jose's career at PSU has been marked by continuous progression and significant achievements. Starting as an office staff member at PSU-Lingayen and Clerk at PSU-Urdaneta Registrar Office, his talents and hard work soon earned him the position of ๐‘จ๐’…๐’Ž๐’Š๐’๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’—๐’† ๐‘ถ๐’‡๐’‡๐’Š๐’„๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ฐ๐‘ฐ ๐’‚๐’• Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus.
