To all prospective students who took the University Entrance Examination at ESSU-Borongan from March to May 2026, the results will be released on May 14, 2026, at the Studentsโ€™ Pavilion (across the I love ESSU marker).

Reminders:
1. The EXAMINATION PERMIT must be presented when claiming the results.

2. If results are to be claimed by a representative, the following documents must be presented:
โ€ข1 original copy of applicant's duly signed authorization letter
โ€ข1 photocopy of applicant's test permit
โ€ข1 photocopy of the representative's valid ID

3. Results should be claimed on the assigned release date.

The Student Electoral Commission (SEC) of Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) โ€“ Main Campus has officially declared several vacant positions within the Supreme Student Council (SSC) through Resolution No. 2026-07, issued on May 4, 2026.

According to the Commission, a number of positions remained unfilled following the recently concluded elections due to a lack of candidates. This situation poses challenges to leadership continuity and the consistent delivery of services to the student body.

In response, and in accordance with the SSC Constitution and By-Laws, the SEC has authorized the immediate opening of applications to fill the identified vacancies through an appointment process. This aims to ensure that all positions are filled within the prescribed period.

The Commission assured that the application, screening, and selection process will be conducted in a fair, transparent, and impartial manner, adhering strictly to existing rules and qualification standards. Final appointments will be subject to the approval of the Council Adviser and the University Administration.

This resolution takes effect immediately upon approval.

ESSU SSC Issues Temporary University Uniform Policy Suspension Amid Extreme Heat

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Eastern Samar State University - Main Campus approved Resolution No. 03, s. 2026 on April 24, 2026, temporarily suspending the university's uniform policy due to extreme heat conditions.

The resolution allows students, especially those attending summer classes, to wear appropriate civilian clothing while high temperatures carry on, aiming to reduce heat-related risks and improve comfort during classes.

The measure responds to growing concerns over student safety in the region.

The council emphasized that the adjustment is temporary and will stay in effect until conditions improve, while keeping academic activities running without interruption.

The Labor Education and Pre-Employment Training for Graduating Students continue and will run until Thursday, providing graduating students with essential knowledge and skills as they prepare to enter the workforce.
Each day of the activity is dedicated to a specific college, ensuring focused and meaningful participation. Day 2 was successfully attended by the College of Hospitality Management and College of Technology, marking a strong start to this multi-day engagement.
This initiative is organized by the Career and Job Placement Services Office, in partnership with DOLE, as part of its commitment to prepare students for employment, career opportunities, and professional growth.

The ESSU contingent joined the thousands of delegates from the ten (10) other SUCs in the region in their shared excitement and anticipation during the opening program of the 39th Eastern Visayas Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games yesterday, April 2, 2026.

Delegations gathered at the Leyte Sports Development Center before marching around Tacloban City then returned to the venue for the opening program. ESSU showed up with one of the better outcomes in the mini cheerdance showcase coined as the โ€˜Pakuloโ€™. Leaders of the participating SUCs and their representatives joined in the fun by leading their contingent from up the stage.

Various performances made the opening program a colorful one, to open the games with a huge bang.
