Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, ADSSU continues to uphold SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, reinforcing our role in building a future that is environmentally resilient and socially inclusive. In view of the prevailing heat index conditions affecting Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, all faculty, staff, and students of Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) are hereby informed of the temporary suspension of the prescribed wearing of uniforms.
Based on the latest iHeatMAP and PAGASA data, the municipality is currently under Extreme Caution, with heat index levels ranging from 35°C to 37°C, particularly peaking between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. These conditions pose heightened risks of heat-related illnesses, including heat cramps and heat exhaustion.
In consideration of the health and safety of the university community, the wearing of comfortable and weather-appropriate attire is hereby allowed during this period.
Issued with the approval of the University President, this measure reaffirms the University’s commitment to safeguarding the well-being and productivity of the ADSSU community.
Stay safe and take necessary precautions.

The students of BINTECH HVRAC 1-A successfully conducted a laboratory activity in their Physics for Industrial Technology subject focused on Physical Quantities, Measurements, and Error Analysis. The activity enhanced our understanding of proper measuring techniques, the use of laboratory instruments, and the importance of accuracy and precision in industrial applications. Through hands-on experiments, we learned how to identify possible sources of error and analyze results more critically. This experience strengthened our skills and prepared us for real-world technical and industrial practices.

LABORATORY HIGHLIGHT!

Students from the BSEd Science program recently conducted a laboratory activity for their Waves and Optics subject titled "Standing Wave on a Stretched String using a Sonometer."

Guided by their instructor, Sir Bryan P. Pagcaliwagan, the students enthusiastically explored the formation of standing waves using a sonometer. This hands-on experiment deepens their understanding of wave motion.

Our BSED Science students had an amazing time today delving into sound waves and resonance in air columns. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Bryan P. Pagcaliwagan, they engaged in hands-on experiments that vividly illustrated acoustic principles and made learning physics both exciting and memorable.
