Engr. Noel M. Ajoc is the current Regional Director of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Caraga and a member of the universityโs Board of Regents, the highest governing body. He is a Metallurgical Engineer with intensive expertise in mineral processing, technology management, innovation governance, and technology-based entrepreneurship.
In his current stint as the Regional Director, he champions initiatives in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Smart and Sustainable Communities, the Circular Economy, and startup ecosystem development to advance the responsible adoption of emerging technologies and resource-efficient practices, enhancing governance, productivity, environmental sustainability, and community resilience.
His exemplary service has earned him numerous distinctions, including the Outstanding Professional of the Year Award (OPYA) for Metallurgical Engineering from the Professional Regulation Commission in 2023 and the Outstanding Provincial Science and Technology Director Award from DOST. He is also a distinguished licensure examination topnotcher, placing 2nd in the Metallurgical Engineering Licensure Examination, 3rd in the Real Estate Appraisers Licensure Examination, and 8th in the Real Estate Brokers Licensure Examination.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Engr. Ajoc exemplifies servant leadership through his active involvement in community and church-based volunteer work as a lay minister.
