PYS 8.0's 2nd Isabela Youth Parliament concluded with a collaborative spirit as delegates approved policies during the Plenary Session and then worked to endorse them to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan through the SKPP. The event's impact was further amplified by Mr. Jhunnie Aquino's address, which encouraged ongoing community engagement and service.
Greetings also to Mr. Ronald V. Singayan, Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture, as he is one of the SPONSORS of the following resolutions proposed in the parliament:
1. A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ISABELA, THROUGH THE HONORABLE SANGGUNIANG PANLALAWIGAN, TO STRENGTHEN 4H CLUB THROUGH THE YOUTH IN AGRICULTURE PROGRAM AS A PROVINCE-WIDE INITIATIVE TO ENSURE THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF THE YOUTH IN FOOD SECURITY AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT
2. A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE PROVINCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR INDIGENT FARMERS IN THE PROVINCE OF ISABELA, DEFINING THEIR ELIGIBILITY, IDENTIFICATION PROCESS, AND PROGRAM BENEFITS, IN FURTHERANCE OF THE SOCIAL JUSTICE MANDATE OF RA 6657 (COMPREHENSIVE AGRARIAN REFORM LAW)
3. A RESOLUTION URGING THE STRICT REGULATION, TRANSPARENCY, AND PUBLICATION OF ALL MINING APPLICATIONS AND ACTIVITIES IN THE PROVINCE OF ISABELA
These resolutions were approved on the first and second readings, then passed on the third and final reading. They were subsequently endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan through the SKPF — a step that strengthens and institutionalizes youth initiatives. This affirms that the Youth Parliament goes beyond dialogue, placing its proposals within formal legislative pathways.
