The College of Forestry and Environmental Management (CFEM) successfully conducted a lecture titled “Integrating Geospatial Multi-Criteria Analysis and Stakeholder Perspectives in a Spatial Decision Support System: Applications in Environmental Management” on May 11, 2026, at the Bulwagan ng Sierra Madre, EIC Building, Isabela State University–Cabagan Campus.
The lecture was delivered by Prince Asare, a visiting scientist from the Thünen Institute of Forestry. He shared insights on the integration of spatial data and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis within a Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS), highlighting its application in identifying and evaluating factors influencing land degradation in the Balasig-Dy Abra Watershed.
The activity was attended by BS Forestry and BS Environmental Science students, providing them with valuable knowledge and practical approaches that can be applied to their academic endeavors and future research projects. Faculty members of CFEM also participated in the lecture, fostering academic exchange and strengthening the college’s commitment to advancing innovative tools and approaches in environmental management and decision-making.
