A Double Victory for the Working Scholars Association!
On April 26th, the WSA family at Capitol University celebrated not just one, but two incredible milestones!
Congratulations to our Former President, Lhester Candano! We want to extend a massive and heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Candano, who officially graduated and was awarded the prestigious Presidential Leadership Award! Serving as our President for two terms, from 2024-2025 and 2025-2026, Lhester led with dedication, vision, and heart. Thank you for your tireless service and for paving the way for so many Working Scholars. We are incredibly proud of everything you accomplished during your term and wish you the absolute best as you step into the next chapter!
The pride didn't stop there. We were also deeply honored that the Working Scholars Association (WSA) has officially recognized again as the Most Outstanding Non College-Based Recognized Campus Organization for SY 2025-2026.
To our members, officers, advisers, and everyone who has supported WSA, this award was dedicated to all of you. Balancing academics and work is no small feat, yet our community continues to thrive, uplift one another, and show what true resilience looks like.
Thank you to Capitol University and Office of the Student Affairs and Services, for this incredible honor and for acknowledging the hard work and dedication of our organization.
Here is to more success, continuous growth, and the enduring spirit of the working scholar!
Padayon!
