January 30, 2026 marked a meaningful day of formation for our STE 2nd year and 3rd year students held at the Lestonnac Youth Center.

For the STE 2nd Year, under the guidance of Mr. Tristan Gabriel F. Acuzar, the session centered on understanding the self as an educator. Through reflective discussions and guided activities, the students were invited to look inward by examining their values, emotional maturity, and sense of responsibility. The formation emphasized that teaching is not merely a profession but a vocation rooted in character, care, accountability, and conscious participation in the learning community.

The STE 3rd Year formation, facilitated by Ms. Christine Rabago, focused on living one’s values in real and practical ways. The discussion highlighted the importance of resilience, ethical discernment, and commitment to service as they navigate more complex academic and pre professional demands. The session challenged the students to translate values into consistent action and to cultivate a service oriented mindset as preparation for future practice.

Within the reflective space of the Lestonnac Youth Center, both formations became opportunities for our future educators to pause, reflect, and realign. Today was not only about learning concepts but about deepening self awareness and strengthening the moral foundation that will guide them as educators and as individuals committed to service and integrity.

Rooted in God’s promise and nourished by His Word, we gathered as one community for the Holy Mass sponsored by the Grade School Department on the Memorial of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Priest and Doctor of the Church.

Guided by today’s readings, we are reminded that the Lord is faithful to His covenant and continually sows His Word in our hearts, calling us to become rich soil that listens, understands, and bears fruit in wisdom, faith, and service.

With Rev. Fr. Nathaniel J. Obal, SSS as presiding priest, this Eucharistic celebration at the Liceo de Cagayan University RNP Chapel invited us to trust in God’s enduring love and to live out the truth we receive, following the example of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Our recently concluded Wednesday Mass, sponsored by the Junior High School Department and presided over by Rev. Fr. Nathaniel J. Obal, SSS, gathered the Licean community in prayer and reflection, anchored on the Word proclaimed in today’s liturgy.

The first reading portrayed David before Goliath as a young man whose confidence was rooted not in strength, but in trust in God. It reminded us that faith does not remove challenges, but reshapes how we face them. In the Gospel, Jesus healed the man with the withered hand on the Sabbath, revealing that true holiness is inseparable from compassion and that doing good must always take precedence over rigid observance.

Together, these readings called our students and educators to live a faith that is courageous in trust and active in mercy. May this Eucharistic celebration continue to form hearts that choose goodness, defend life, and act with love grounded in faith.

Grateful hearts gathered as one at the Liceo de Cagayan University— RNP Campus Chapel for our recently concluded Holy Mass, sponsored by the School of Teacher Education. The Campus Ministry extends its deepest thanks to everyone who took part in this sacred encounter.

Anchored on today’s readings, we were reminded of the quiet yet powerful ways God speaks, calling us to listen with attentive hearts and to allow His Word to take root in our lives. In the stillness of prayer and the unity of worship, we were invited to respond not only with words, but with lives formed by faith, service, and openness to divine purpose.

May this celebration continue to shape us as one academic community, grounded in spirituality, enriched by reflection, and moved to transcend ourselves in love, commitment, and mission.

Wednesday after Epiphany, today's gospel reading from the book of Mark 6:45-52. We are called upon by our Lord, Jesus Christ, to try setting aside whatever distracts us externally from our faith.
And be all the more steadfast and remain faithful when there is uncertainty as we shift our focus internally. Granted that peace and calmness will be manifested once we let Him take over our "boat" as we sail in our daily "destinations."

In the quiet of the manger, God revealed a power greater than force: love, humility, and hope. Christ our Savior is born, calling us to rise in faith, live with purpose, and carry His light into a world that longs for redemption. This Christmas, may we be strengthened to become bearers of that light.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

In today's eucharistic celebration-- Wednesday in the 2nd week of Advent, we are reminded by the gospel from the book of Matthew 11:28-30 to let go and let God take his part of ownership in each of us. He is our true salvation through His son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who bought us by His own precious body and blood.

“O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

Today, we honor the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. May Mary’s purity and obedience inspire us to live with faith, hope, and love.

Anchored in the theme “𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞: 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬”, today’s Grade 8 Recollection opened a space for students to step back from routine and reflect on the values that define their formation.

Guided by a dedicated lineup of speakers — 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑒 𝐹𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑜, 𝐽𝑟., 𝐽𝑜ℎ𝑛 𝐴𝑟𝑔𝑖𝑒 𝐸𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑒, 𝐽𝑜ℎ𝑛 𝐷𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑑 𝐴𝑏𝑎𝑙𝑑𝑒, 𝑅𝑜𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑦𝑛 𝑆𝑎𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑟, 𝐸𝑑𝑒𝑛 𝐵𝑎𝑙𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑑𝑟𝑎, 𝐶𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑏𝑖𝑒 𝐷𝑖𝑔𝑎𝑙, 𝐽𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑎ℎ 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑟𝑎, 𝐼𝑣𝑦 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒 𝐴𝑏𝑟𝑖𝑜, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑇𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑎 — participants were led to examine the deeper meaning of faith as a source of grounding, resilience as a response to life’s challenges, and integrity as a daily commitment to doing what is right. Their stories and reflections offered students a clearer understanding of how purposeful choices and sincere self-awareness shape them into responsible members of the Licean community.

The 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 extends its sincere appreciation to the JHS Faculty and Staff for their support, presence, and cooperation throughout the activity, whose steady involvement helped sustain the program’s meaningful flow and strengthened the shared commitment to the students’ continuing journey of growth.
