Brought together by a shared vision to develop a responsive, strategic, and future-oriented institutional agenda aligned with national, regional, and global frameworks, university officials, college deans, program chairs, coordinators, and external stakeholders united for this milestone event.
Day 1 focused on laying the strategic foundation, opening with remarks from Dr. Teodoro A. Amatosa, Jr. (VP-RIEEA), University President Atty. Lorelie Fabillar-Tangaran, and Dr. Archie B. Lauderes (Director, Office of the Extension). The sessions featured expert insights from Dr. Jonas P. Villas, VP for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Internationalization at Leyte Normal University, followed by college-level workshops where deans, program chairpersons, coordinators, and stakeholders collaborated to draft their respective college research and extension agendas.
Day 2 centered on harmonization and finalization, beginning with a recap and the continuation of agenda crafting per college. Plenary presentations led by college deans paved the way for an afternoon harmonization workshop facilitated by Mr. Louiesito A. Magnaye Jr. (Director, ORDS) and Dr. Archie B. Lauderes to consolidate the outputs into a unified institutional agenda. The event concluded with commitments, the presentation of the finalized agenda, and closing remarks delivered by Mr. Louiesito A. Magnaye Jr.
A massive thank you to all university officials, faculty members, external stakeholders, and the RIEEA committee for your active participation in building a responsive, future-oriented research and extension roadmap for NwSSU!
