🎓🇵🇭 ROTC GRADUATION & TURN-OVER OF COMMAND CEREMONY 2026 🇵🇭🎓

Today marks the culmination of months of hard work, discipline, perseverance, and dedication. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who became part of this memorable occasion.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our Guest of Honor and Speaker, PAT CRYSTAL JADE CEREZO, for sharing inspiring words and valuable insights. We also extend our deepest thanks to 1LT JEFFREY J. SULIT (INF) PA, SSg JERRY N. LAYAGAN (INF) PA, Chief Clerk, and Mr. MARK JOSEPH P. SOLANTE, NSTP Coordinator, for their presence, support, and contribution to the success of this event. To all our visitors, guests, and especially the PROUD PARENTS who took the time to witness this achievement, thank you for celebrating this special moment with us.

ROTC was never easy—it challenged our strength, patience, and determination. There were exhausting days, countless formations, and moments when we wanted to give up. Yet despite the hardships, ROTC gave us friendships, unforgettable memories, and experiences that we will always cherish.

This graduation is not merely the end of our ROTC journey. Rather, it is the beginning of carrying forward the lessons it has instilled in us. The drills may end, the commands may fade, and the uniforms may one day be set aside, but the values of discipline, leadership, resilience, patriotism, and service will remain with us for a lifetime.

The energy reached its peak during the second day of the 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, as the students gathered for the highly anticipated 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 and the formal 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀.

The day was a testament to the grit and sportsmanship of every participant. From the intense rallies on the court to the strategic plays in the field, the units showcased not just athletic skill, but the core values of 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.

26 April 2026 | 13th ROTC formation

The day commenced with the systematic counting of cadets at the DORSU-CC ROTC Unit to ensure a full and accounted-for formation, setting a tone of accountability from the very first whistle. This was followed by our standard sequence of drills and specialized field exercises designed to test our endurance and sharpen our tactical ex*****on within the unit. Every movement on the parade ground serves as a testament to our growing discipline and the strengthening bond of our brotherhood as cadets of Davao Oriental State University. Through relentless sweat and collective determination, we remain committed to evolving into the future leaders our nation deserves.🇵🇭

LOOK || The DORSU Cateel Campus successfully held a 2-day Campus wide fire drill 2026, held in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Cateel Fire Station on April 24–25, 2026.

The event was organized to bolster the disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities of the campus community. By merging theoretical education with high-intensity physical application, the training ensured that participants transitioned from mere observers to capable first responders.

The first day was dedicated to an In-depth lectures were conducted at the campus hall, focusing on the chemistry of fire, its origins, and common causes within a campus setting. Participants engaged in critical discussions regarding fire prevention and the vital role of "fire-safe" habits in avoiding preventable tragedies.

Transitioning from the classroom to the field on the second day, the activity shifted to the Practical Application Phase. DORSU grounds became the site of a simulated emergency. Participants underwent rigorous training in the actual use of fire extinguishers, fire suppression techniques, and a full-scale fire drill. The training culminated in a high-stakes Search and Rescue operation, where students and staff practiced the physical coordination required to locate and evacuate victims safely under pressure.

Special gratitude is extended to the Bureau of Fire Protection - Cateel Fire Station for their invaluable expertise and unwavering support in facilitating this event.

The activity concluded with the realization that safety is a shared responsibility, marking another successful milestone in producing a resilient and "field-ready" DORSU community.

19 April 2026 | 11th Training Day
With unwavering commitment and a shared sense of duty, we stood together once again for our 11th formation of the semester. The day was dedicated to our usual routine of rigorous military drills and precise formations, pushing every cadet to maintain the high standards of discipline and excellence that define our unit. Each command executed and every step taken in unison serves as a reminder of our collective strength and our ongoing journey toward becoming disciplined leaders of the future.

LOOK || The DORSU Cateel Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 10th Sunday Formation for the 2nd Semester, AY 2025–2026, on April 12, 2026.

Led by Corps Commander Cdt LtCol Jimwell Chavez Dela Luz 1CL, the day began at 0730H with a solemn Flag Raising Ceremony at the DORSU CC Field. The morning was dedicated to sharpening the cadets' discipline through Drills and Ceremonies, a testament to the unit's commitment to military bearing.

Transitioning from the field to the classroom, the cadets also underwent their Midterm Examination, testing the military knowledge they have cultivated throughout the semester.

The activity concluded at 1200H, marking another successful step in producing academically proficient and field-ready leaders.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || The 𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 successfully held its 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, focusing on military knowledge, a critical aspect of every cadet's training. This significant assembly brought together 125 basic cadets and 31 advanced ROTC cadets at the DORSU CC Field in Mahan-ob, Mainit, Cateel, Davao Oriental.

The event was marked by a strong display of inter-agency cooperation and military mentorship. The unit proudly acknowledges the vital participation and technical support of the 67th Infantry "Agila" Battalion (67IB), Philippine Army. Their presence provided the cadets with invaluable exposure to active-duty standards and reinforced the bond between the student-cadets and the regular force.

The highlight of the activity was the Donning of Ranks and Acceptance Ceremony, a solemn rite of passage honored by the Guest of Honor and Speaker, 2LT JURINIA H BAD-ANG (AGS) PA. This ceremony symbolized the cadets' and cadettes' promotion and the formal recognition of their evolving roles within the unit. As the new ranks were pinned, it served as a physical reminder of the discipline, leadership, and unwavering commitment required of those who wear the uniform.

By the time the formation concluded at approximately 1200H, the cadets had not only gained new stripes but also a deeper understanding of the moral standards expected of future leaders. The integration of formal ceremony with the guidance of the 67IB and the training staff ensured a holistic experience that prepared the unit for the challenges of the 2nd Semester, Academic Year 2025–2026.
