On October 14, 2026, the Level 4 Nursingales of San Sebastian CollegeโRecoletos de Cavite actively participated in the ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐-๐๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, an experiential learning activity designed to strengthen their understanding and application of leadership and management principles in various nursing settings.
As part of their course requirements, the students were tasked to develop and present realistic nursing scenarios highlighting the roles, responsibilities, challenges, and decision-making processes of nurse leaders and managers in three major fields of nursing: hospital, community, and academe.
Through role-playing, the students demonstrated their understanding of essential nursing leadership and management competencies, including effective communication, teamwork, delegation, conflict resolution, critical thinking, problem-solving, ethical decision-making, and professional accountability.
The activity provided an opportunity for students to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations, allowing them to experience how nurse leaders manage responsibilities, address workplace challenges, coordinate healthcare teams, and make decisions that promote quality patient care and effective nursing services.
The activity was facilitated by ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐๐. ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐, ๐๐, ๐๐๐, College Dean and NCM 119 Professor, as part of her commitment to providing meaningful, interactive, and outcomes-based learning experiences that prepare nursing students for their future professional responsibilities.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the Clinical Instructors who served as panel evaluators during the activity. Their valuable time, professional expertise, constructive feedback, and insightful recommendations contributed to enriching the students' learning experiences and strengthening their understanding of effective nursing leadership and management.
More than a classroom presentation, this activity served as a valuable learning experience that emphasized the importance of leadership, collaboration, professionalism, accountability, and sound decision-making in nursing practice.
As future registered nurses, the Level 4 Nursingales are encouraged to carry these lessons into their clinical practice and future professional careers, embodying the qualities of competent, compassionate, responsible, and service-oriented Sebastinian nurse leaders.
