DEBESMSCAT-Cawayan Campus Holds FY 2028 Budgeting and Planning Workshop

The DEBESMSCAT-Cawayan Campus conducted the FY 2028 Budgeting and Planning Workshop today, October 22, 2026.

Attendees were the Planning Officer III, Engr. Nenette M. Laurio, Budget Officer/AO V, Ms. Cherry M. Tacuyan, Budget Officer/AO IV, Gian Carlo C. Letada, Planning Officer II, Mr. Raymund B. Cuazon, Planning Officer I, Renalyn C. Laurio, and Administrative Aide VI, John Patrick A. Relox. The unit heads of every office of the DEBESMSCAT Cawayan campus were present during the activity as the participants.

The workshop started with the opening message by the Campus Administrator, acknowledging the personnel of DEBESMSCAT-Main Campus for conducting this workshop. The activity highlights the identification of the priority programs and projects of the campus for the coming Fiscal Year 2028 focusing on the improvement of the infrastructure of the campus and the establishment of new Academic Buildings such as the ICT and Speech Laboratories which are the top priorities.

The activity was concluded with some discussions along budget concerns and matters of the campus while addressing the concerns and providing of possible solutions. This activity also highlights the importance of Planning and Budgeting while strengthening the institutionโ€™s commitment to providing quality service to its clienteles.

DEBESMSCATโ€“Cawayan Campus Advances Sustainable Livelihoods Through Knowledge-Sharing and Community Engagement

The Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT)โ€“Cawayan Campus, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V, successfully contributed to the capacity-building initiative โ€œCapacity Building on Fostering Resilient Enterprises through Empowered Leadership, Financial Wisdom, and Sustainable Livestock Care,โ€ held on October 5, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Municipal Plaza, Cawayan, Masbate, for 19 Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Associations.

Representing the institution, Dr. Cesar D. Almonicar, Jr., Dean of the College of Education, facilitated Leadership and Values Formation, emphasizing self-leadership, positive values, and responsible decision-making. Krisha Mae Merioles, faculty member of the Industrial Technology Institute, discussed Financial Literacy, highlighting prudent financial management and informed decision-making for household well-being and sustainable livelihood operations. Meanwhile, Dr. Roger Y. Ibaรฑez, Jr., OIC Dean of the Institute of Agriculture, shared practical insights on proper livestock handling and management to strengthen participantsโ€™ competencies and support enterprise productivity.

This engagement exemplifies DEBESMSCATโ€“Cawayan Campusโ€™s commitment to translating academic expertise into meaningful community impact. Through collaborative partnerships and responsive extension services, the institution continues to advance community empowerment, strengthen livelihood capabilities, and promote inclusive and sustainable development.
