𝘿𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚? 𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩.

Effective immediately, all thesis candidates must submit three documents to the Office of Research BEFORE scheduling Turnitin evaluation:

1. Records of Proceedings (or Compliance Checklist)—signed by all Thesis Committee members and your College Dean.
2. Official Turnitin payment receipt.
3. Library validation form confirming citation and reference compliance.

No exceptions: Turnitin scheduling will not be processed until all three documents are submitted and verified by the Office of Research. Committee members are expected to complete and sign the Records of Proceedings/Compliance Checklist given that you have complied the necessary revisions.

This requirement ensures research integrity and streamlines your path to graduation. Submit early, submit complete, and avoid unnecessary delays.

📣 10/23 ANNOUNCEMENT: Disclosure Statements and Turnitin AI Percentages

The ACT Office of Research wishes to reiterate the following policies to uphold the integrity of academic submissions and ensure the effective implementation of originality checks:

1. 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐈 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝: Submissions registering an AI Percentage Score of 50% or higher on Turnitin will not be issued a Turnitin Receipt. Groups whose submissions fall within this threshold are required to revise their work and send it again it to the designated email addresses assigned by course or college.

2. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬: Disclosure Statements must clearly affirm that the researchers authored the complete paper with original content prior to any AI enhancement. On a case-by-case basis (particularly those with high Turnitin AI Percentage scores), groups may be requested to provide their original draft via email for comparison against the final submitted version.

These measures are essential to maintaining rigorous standards in the originality verification process and fostering academic excellence.

Heads up, Asianistas! Before submitting your paper for Turnitin Plagiarism Checking at the ACT Office of Research, make sure your paper includes a section containing your Disclosure Statement on the use of AI tools. This statement must be included if you utilized any Generative AI platform as part of your Paper.

Your Disclosure Statement must include:
