The fourth-year students of FSUU College of Innovative Hospitality and Tourism visited the National Museum of the Philippines–Butuan Regional Museum in Barangay Doongan and Site Museum in Barangay Libertad as part of their Cultural and Heritage Tour, applying their knowledge and skills in tour guiding and heritage interpretation.

Taking turns as museum guides and audience members, the students gained practical experience in presenting heritage narratives, engaging audiences, and communicating the historical, archaeological, and cultural significance of the museum’s exhibits. NMP–Butuan staff, Mr. Alven Magdua (Information Officer III) and Ms. Expher Angeli Canatoy (Museum Guide), provided constructive feedback and recommendations to help the students strengthen their tour delivery, presentation skills, and understanding of museum-based heritage interpretation. The activity also highlighted the importance of communicating heritage information accurately, meaningfully, and responsibly.

Congratulations to everyone on completing this learning experience! May this engagement deepen your appreciation of museums as partners in heritage education and responsible tourism, while reinforcing the understanding that preserving, interpreting, and promoting our cultural heritage is a shared responsibility requiring the active participation of institutions, communities, and future professionals.

Your National Museum of the Philippines–Butuan welcomes opportunities for educational collaboration that advance public understanding and appreciation of our rich cultural heritage.

What does it take to transform a dining experience into a statement of elegance, confidence, and professional excellence?

In hospitality, exceptional service goes beyond what is served at the table. It is reflected in one’s demeanor, interaction with guests, and mastery of professional dining standards. Every gesture, every detail, and every expression of courtesy contributes to an unforgettable dining experience.

The College of Innovative Hospitality and Tourism (CIHT) of Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) proudly presents the Fine Dining Etiquette Workshop Experience 2026, anchored on the theme “De l'Étiquette à l'Excellence: Preparing Future Hospitality Professionals.”

📅 October 27, 2026 (Tuesday)
⏰ 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
📍 AVR 2, College Building South (CBS), FSUU

This collaborative learning experience brings together students from different hospitality and tourism disciplines to showcase their skills, creativity, and professionalism. Fourth-year students taking Introduction to MICE Events will transform the venue into an elegant fine dining setting, demonstrating their competencies in event styling, venue preparation, and coordination. Meanwhile, fourth-year students enrolled in French Cuisine will prepare and present a fine dining menu inspired by French culinary traditions and artistry.

Serving as guests, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students enrolled in TMPE 111-A – Specialized Food and Beverage Service Operations with Laboratory will experience fine dining etiquette and professional service firsthand. Through guided activities, food service demonstrations, proper table setting, w**e appreciation, coffee and tea service, and an interactive Fine Dining Etiquette Challenge, participants will gain practical insights into the standards of formal dining.

The workshop supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 – Quality Education, through experiential learning; SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, by developing industry-relevant skills; and SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, by promoting responsible hospitality practices.

L'élégance dans chaque détail, l'excellence dans chaque service. Elegance in every detail, excellence in every service.

Au plaisir de vous accueillir !

In hospitality and events, floral arrangements are more than decorative elements—they are expressions of creativity, artistry, and attention to detail that transform spaces and elevate guest experiences.

The College of Innovative Hospitality and Tourism (CIHT) of Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) presents the Floral Arrangement Seminar-Workshop 2026, anchored on the theme “The Art and Science of Floral Arrangement for Hospitality and Events.”

📅 October 26, 2026 (Monday)
⏰ 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
📍 College Building East (CBE), Room 309

As a subject requirement for TMPE 111-A – Specialized Food and Beverage Service Operations with Laboratory, this seminar-workshop will engage students from TM 11, TM 12, TM 13, and TM 14 in an experiential learning activity focused on the principles and techniques of floral design. Through demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will develop practical skills in flower preparation, floral arrangement, table styling, and event presentation—essential competencies in delivering refined and memorable hospitality experiences.

The activity also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 – Quality Education, through experiential and industry-oriented learning; SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, by strengthening students’ professional skills and employability; SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, by encouraging responsible use of floral materials and sustainable design practices; and SDG 15 – Life on Land, by promoting appreciation of plant resources and responsible flower sourcing.

Through this initiative, CIHT continues to nurture creativity, craftsmanship, and professionalism among future tourism and hospitality practitioners—because every flower has a story, every arrangement creates an impression, and every detail matters in the art of service.
