The Department of Social Work under the College of Arts and Sciences of UUSTP Claveriamarked another academic milestone as its faculty member successfully published a new textbook titled ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ: ๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐.
The publication highlights the growing contribution of Filipino educators and practitioners in producing localized and contextualized learning materials for social work education in the country. According to the authors, the textbook was written in response to the lack of locally authored and Philippine-centered instructional materials in social work and development education.
