The Social Work interns, together with their Agency field Supervisor & School Supervisor, successfully conducted the Exit Conference and Final Field Work Presentation at the City Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Malaybalay City in Bukidnon. This activity marked the culmination of their field practicum, where interns presented their accomplishments, key learnings, and reflections from their immersion in the community.
The presentations highlighted the interns’ direct engagement with individuals, families, and communities, as well as the interventions and services they facilitated during their placement. It also served as a platform to share insights on the realities faced by partner beneficiaries and the role of social work in addressing these concerns through responsive and grounded practice.
The Exit Conference further provided an opportunity for dialogue among interns, agency staff, and the school supervisor, ensuring that feedback, evaluation, and recommendations are integrated into both practice and future training. More importantly, the activity underscored the interns’ growth in professional competence, ethical practice, and commitment to social welfare and development.
As they conclude their fieldwork, these emerging social workers carry with them not only the skills and knowledge gained, but also a deeper sense of responsibility to serve and advocate for vulnerable sectors of society.
