Salary Grade Level: Project-based | Salary Grade 4
Period of Engagement: 01 July 2026 - 31 December 2026 (with possibility of renewal)

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
2.) Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
3.) Experienced/knowledgeable in government procurement processes
4.) With good oral and written communication skills
5.) Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a positive work attitude
6.) Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks
7.) Willing to learn and assist in project-related activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Processes and assists in the preparation of project-related documents such as the Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP), Line Item Budget (LIB), project appointments, and other administrative requirements.
2.) Provide administrative and clerical support to the project team.
3.) Assist in data collection, encoding, and basic processing related to the project.
4.) Assist in fieldwork and laboratory activities (i.e., indexing), as needed by the project.
5.) Maintains and organizes files, records, and inventories of project documents, supplies, and equipment.
6.) Coordinates with offices, suppliers, and project personnel for administrative concerns.
7.) Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Project Leader or supervisor.

The Institute of Crop Science held a special seminar last June 16, at Room 104 of NB Mendiola Hall, Gonzales Wing. Two guest speakers shared innovative insights and discoveries on smart and efficient rice production. Dr. Kwang-Ho Park, Professor Emeritus at the Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries & Chairman of the Korea Rice Working Group Association and Mr. Tae-Yong Kim, CEO of Rovigos, a logistics company from South Korea that specializes in digital transformation, specifically providing AI and cloud-based robotic solutions, talked about K-Ingredient Cooperative Farming Platform: AI-enabled Operations and Cultivation in Rice Production, showing promising solutions for an efficient, cost effective and productive rice cultivation, across various conditions, as they have studies in Vietnam, South Korea and other countries.

The special seminar was initiated by Dr. Crisanta Bueno, and organized ICropS Extension Office and Seminar Committee, and was attended by ICropS academic staff, students and members from other UPLB institutions.
