| As part of the ongoing assessment of UPLB’s Research, Extension, and Professional Staff (REPS) plantilla items, the REPS Audit Ad Hoc Committee held its first validation meeting today, October 14, with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA).

This meeting comes after UPLB offices and colleges submitted their 2026 REPS Audit Unit Reports last September 25.

During the session, units under OVCCA presented summaries of their audit reports. The committee then discussed workloads, staff functions, identified operational gaps, and proposed REPS items or reclassifications, as well as suggestions for improving the reports.

This marks the first in a series of validation meetings that will be held with all UPLB offices and colleges.

The committee’s final report will serve as the basis for justifying additional REPS items or the Vertical Career Path proposal being prepared by the UPLB REPS Welfare Council (RWC).

Constituted under OC Administrative Order No. 105, Series of 2026, the committee is chaired by Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension Nathaniel C. Bantayan and co-chaired by Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs Benevieve D. Villanueva. Its members include representatives from UPLB colleges, the Human Resource Development Office, the RWC, and the All UP Academic Employees Union - Los Baños.
