Amidst the response for COVID-19 pandemic, certain realities on the impending threats of other natural and human hazards should be realized. These include the unpredictability and inevitability of the occurrence of earthquakes and other geological hazards, which remain as potential risks.

To provide an online learning that will educate and increase knowledge of the general public to understand earthquake hazards, and to prepare for and respond to earthquakes amidst COVID-19 pandemic, OCD XI, in partnership with DOST-PHIVOLCS, will conduct a webinar to discuss the challenges brought about by the occurrences of earthquakes during the pandemic.

The webinar will be on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎, 𝟏:𝟎𝟎𝐏𝐌, 𝐏𝐒𝐓 via video-teleconferencing. Participants may register thru link https://bit.ly/EQDURINGPANDEMIC on or before September 7, 2020. Details of the webinar will be sent thru the respective emails of the participants upon successful registration to the link provided.

Only the first 100 participants will be accommodated to the webinar Zoom platform. Those who will not reach the cut-off time may still stream via Facebook live at Civil Defense Davao Region Page.
