CHED-IAS Project PIVOT Session 5 | June 11, 2026

Jose Rizal Memorial State University, together with fellow Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs), actively participated in Session 5 of Project PIVOT (Partnerships for International Visibility and Organizational Transformation), themed โ€œFrom Connection to Collaboration: PHEIs Achieving Expanded Internationalization.โ€

The virtual learning session featured representatives from the Embassy of Canada to the Philippines, who shared valuable insights on advancing internationalization through strategic global partnerships, academic mobility programs, research collaboration, and sustainable international engagement. As a recognized leader in global research, innovative learning systems, and multicultural collaboration, Canada offers significant opportunities for Philippine HEIs seeking to establish meaningful and long-term academic networks in North America.

Discussions focused on expanding institutional linkages, maximizing international funding opportunities, fostering faculty and student exchange programs, and strengthening cross-border academic cooperation. The session emphasized the importance of building globally connected institutions capable of responding to the evolving demands of higher education in an increasingly interconnected world.

The activity further reinforced the commitment of Philippine higher education institutions to internationalization, innovation, and global competitiveness, while creating new pathways for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and transformative educational opportunities.
