𝟕𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐀𝐘 | On August 23, 2026, at exactly 0700H, the seventh training day officially commenced with precision, solemnity, and clear purpose, setting a disciplined tone. C/1LT ANN CHRISTINE S CORTEZ 2CL ushered in the day’s activities with composed direction and command. The program proceeded with the Invocation, respectfully led by C/P2LT BENYFIER I SIAT 4CL, seeking divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for all cadets, officers, and personnel present. This was followed by the dignified singing of the Philippine National Anthem under the direction of C/P2LT RHEIN AYESHA O PEREZ 4CL, filling the venue with deep patriotism and unwavering national pride. The cadets then rendered the NCST Hymn led by C/P2LT JEROME MAÑOZO 4CL, before reciting the NCST Mantra. The Mantra, in perfect unison was led by C/P2LT CARMELA G DUAZO 4CL. These opening rites reinforced the core values, loyalty, and shared institutional identity that bind the unit as one.

To prepare every cadet physically, mentally, and safely ahead of the day’s rigorous training, stretching exercises were conducted with energy, thoroughness, and proper form, steered by C/1LT YSRAEL M ANTONIO 2CL, assisted by C/P2LT JEROME MAÑOZO 4CL and C/P2LT IAN CONSTANTINO 4CL. Their careful guidance ensured that all movements were synchronized, helping the cadets build coordination, alertness, and full physical readiness while minimizing the risk of injury. Following the warm up, the session moved into the instruction and mastery of the manual-of-arms — a foundational exercise that embodies discipline, precision, and military bearing. This critical segment was expertly facilitated by CPL DHYNICE ANGEL D DIGMA (Res) PA, demonstrating, correcting, and patiently guiding the cadets through each movement until they could execute every command with sharpness, uniformity, and growing confidence. Every motion reflected close attention to detail, consistent effort, and the high standards the unit upholds. The training activities concluded with important announcements and directives by SGT GRACE P VELO (Res) PA, ensuring that all cadets and personnel were fully informed, aligned, and updated on upcoming protocols and activities.

Throughout the entire training day, the cadets displayed remarkable focus, respect, and steady improvement — proving that through competent leadership, unwavering dedication, and collective discipline, they continue to grow into capable, principled, and service ready leaders of the future. The day not only sharpened their skills but also deepened their sense of unity, commitment, and pride in service.

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒, 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 — 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝟏 & 𝟐 | On August 15 and 16, 2026, the NCST Gymnasium served as the venue for our Disaster Awareness, Preparedness, and Management Training — a vital initiative designed to equip the NCST community with essential knowledge, life-saving skills, and readiness to respond effectively during emergencies and calamities. The two-day training unfolded in an orderly and meaningful flow which started with the invocation by one of the NSTP instructors, Mr. DAVID PAUL ARANDA, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, NCST Hymn, and the recitation of the NCST Mantra by C/LTC RUFFA MAE J TURINGAN, 1CL.

This meaningful learning session was delivered by the expert mobile team of Rescue 177 Corps of Instructors. They guided participants through core disaster preparedness knowledge and hands-on skills: on emergency management for immediate first aid (bandaging techniques); removal extrication during emergency rescue methods; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; firefighting techniques; and search and rescue techniques. Every topic was taught with clarity and professionalism, balancing essential information with practical application to ensure every trainee could responds with confidence. Attended by NSTP students from CWTS, LTS, and ROTC components, the training was further supported by dedicated ROTC officers on duty, who rendered assistance throughout both days to ensure smooth flow, order, and active participation across both batches.

Throughout the two-day training, the trainees engaged attentively and practiced each skill with care, embracing the core message: preparedness saves lives and collective action builds stronger, and more resilient communities. Beyond the knowledge and competencies gained — from recognizing emergency signs to delivering life-saving aid — this activity strengthened the spirit of unity, discipline, and social responsibility among the participants — reinforcing that through continuous learning and shared commitment, the NCST community stands ready to serve, protect, and respond when the need arises.
