Venue 88 Hosts Launch of Institutional Management System, Anchored on 10-Year Vision for School Progress

General Santos City, April 30, 2026 — A major stride toward digital transformation and long-term institutional development was realized with the successful conduct of the Institution Management System (IMS) Orientation and Presentation at Pavilion Hall, Venue 88.

The initiative was spearheaded by the institution’s visionary President, Dr. Salamat B. Sandigan, RC, whose leadership is guided by a comprehensive 10-year development plan aimed at elevating the school’s academic excellence, operational efficiency, and technological advancement. This strategic direction places digital innovation, such as the IMS, at the core of sustainable school progress.

Dr. Sandigan was joined by Solaiman B. Sandigan Jr., with the strong presence of Bailyn B. Sandigan, a member of the Board of Trustees, alongside faculty members and administrative staff. Their participation reflected a unified commitment to achieving the institution’s long-term goals through innovation and collaboration.

Serving as the resource speaker was Norfaisal Buleg, Statistician I and Head of the Data Management Section, together with his colleague. They provided a comprehensive discussion on how the IMS will revolutionize data handling, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility across all institutional processes.

The Institution Management System (IMS) introduces a wide range of features designed to modernize school operations, including:
•Enrollment Management
•Subject Scheduling System
•Payment Processing
•Transcript of Records Generation
Automated Report Generation, such as:
•Enrollment Trends
•Enrollment Lists
•Promotional Reports
•Graduate Lists
•Grade Reports
•Transcript Records
•Request for Special Orders Processing
•Interactive System Dashboards
•Online and Offline Accessibility

To support implementation, several provisions were also introduced:
•Six (6) months warranty on selected modules
•Six (6) free additional program prospectus integrations
•Manual of Operations
•Twelve (12) months free domain
•System deployment
•Online training and orientation

The program concluded with the distribution of laptops to participants, symbolizing the institution’s readiness to embrace digital tools. In addition, all attendees received cash incentives from Bailyn B. Sandigan and the Board of Trustees, recognizing their active participation and support.

The IMS initiative stands as a concrete realization of the President’s 10-year vision, strengthening data systems, enhancing institutional performance, and positioning the school for a future driven by innovation, accountability, and excellence.

PRC Inspection Team Visits SPA College, Inc. to Strengthen Social Work Education Standards

Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur – April 21, 2026

In a significant move to uphold quality and compliance in social work education, officials from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted an inspection and monitoring visit at Southern Philippine Academy (SPA) College, Inc. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

The high-level delegation was led by Hon. Evangeline M. Guinto, Chairperson of the Professional Regulatory Board of Social Work, accompanied by Hon. Fe J. Sinsona, Member of the same Board. They were joined by Ms. Janice D. Secreto, Senior Professional Regulations Officer/Overseer from the PRC XII - BARMM Satellite Office, and Mr. Sonny E. Machan, Admin Aide III from PRC XII-Koronadal.

The team was warmly welcomed by Dr. Sumail A. Kasan and Diana Tuan, RSW, Dean of the Social Work Department at SPA College, Inc. The visit highlighted the institution’s commitment to producing competent, licensed social workers who can effectively serve communities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and beyond.

During the inspection, the PRC officials reviewed the Social Work program’s adherence to regulatory standards, including curriculum alignment with the Social Work Licensure Examination competencies, faculty qualifications, facilities, and student support services. Such visits are part of the PRC’s ongoing efforts to ensure that higher education institutions offering social work degrees maintain excellence in training future professionals dedicated to social justice, community development, and vulnerable populations.

Dr. Kasan and Dean Tuan expressed gratitude for the guidance provided by the PRC team, viewing the visit as an opportunity to further enhance the department’s programs. “We are honored by the presence of the PRC Board and look forward to implementing their valuable recommendations to elevate our Social Work education,” they remarked.

This engagement underscores SPA College, Inc.’s proactive role in advancing professional education in the region. The institution continues to support its students through quality instruction and practical training, preparing them for successful licensure and impactful careers in social work.

The PRC delegation’s visit is expected to yield constructive feedback that will benefit not only SPA College but also contribute to the overall improvement of social work programs across the Philippines.
