The program is highly elated to showcase our dear lecturer and fresh graduate, Miss Jannen Andrea Nicole Lomanta. 𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐀 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 1! 😱✨

The University of Mindanao AB English Association (UMABEA) Officers attended the 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 (CYLA) on September 3, 2026—a whole-day seminar designed to equip student leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to serve, lead, and become an example for their fellow students.

The seminar emphasized the importance of responsible and effective leadership, especially among student organizations under the CASE Department. The discussions and activities reminded our officers that leadership is not only about holding a position, but also about being willing to serve, listen, take responsibility, and inspire others.

Having trained and committed leaders helps foster a more organized and supportive organization. With good leadership, UMABEA can continue to provide meaningful experiences, exemplary service, and a strong sense of representation for its fellow AB English students.

As we continue to lead, may we carry what we have learned from CYLA and put it into action—leading with purpose, serving with heart, and representing AB English with pride. 🖤🦉

From signs to posters to even the simplest ending movie line or song lyric, these narratives weave themselves into our consciousness. Sometimes, they cloud our eyes like watercolor; sometimes, they're boldly strewn across the sky in sweet brushes of acrylic and pastel indentations along the pathway. But the most striking ones persist in our thoughts... Like tempera. Long-lasting, and never-fading.

Introducing Tempera Thursdays, a biweekly column where our dear AB English constituents share a quote from something—a poem, story, song, or even conversation—and how the quote resonated within them recently. For our debut, we are proudly sharing the quote provided by an anonymous writer. Let's hope the angels come and bless their wedding, if they ever have one.
