The Google Developer Groups on Campus Leads Geoffrey Diapana and Lemuel G. Abellana won the Cybersecurity Contest on the TESDA Davao City District Skills Olympic 2026.
We also Congratulate our Moderator Mr. Lucas Carlo Castro as an expert along with Chantal Ylizabeth Rivera (competitor) for winning 3rd place at the Web Technology Application Contest from the same event.

UIC-College of Computer Studies Triumphant in the TESDA Davao City District Skills Olympics 2026! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
The UIC-College of Computer Studies delegation garnered 3 Gold medals and 2 Bronze medals during the TESDA Davao City District Skills Olympics 2026, held at the TESDA XI Regional Training Center - Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center, Davao City.
Geoffrey J. Diapana and partner Lemuel G. Abellana (3rd year students) won the gold medal in the skill area Cybersecurity together with their coach, Ma'am Shenna Rhea M. Cloribel. Joshua M. Reponoya (2nd year student) and his coach, Sir Cris John David M. Manero dominated the skill area Software Applications Development garnering another gold medal. Meanwhile, Justin A. Alvaran (2nd-year student) and his coach, Sir Ceasar Ian P. Benablo also received gold medal in the skill area Artificial Intelligence.
The gold medalists, along with their coaches, will now prepare to represent once again the university to the TESDA: Regional Skills Olympics 2026 which will be held in the same venue from March 24, 2026 to March 26, 2026 in the hope of securing their spots in the nationals.
Also victorious in the said event were Bronze medalists Chantal Ylizabeth M. Rivera (2nd year student) with coach Sir Carlo Castro in the skill area Web Application Technologies, and Oliver Vince G. Po (1st year student) with coach Sir Jose Carlo Aranas in the skill area Graphic Design Technology.
Congratulations, dear students and coaches! The college is beyond proud of what you've accomplished. This achievement demonstrates the dedication of the college in pursuit of excellence in the computing discipline.
This success is also attributed to the support provided by the university through the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Office headed by the amazing Ma'am Gladys Cuencia, UIC's TVET Focal.
