Congratulations to our Region XI in-house trainees who brought home medals during the recently concluded 2026 Palarong Pambansa on 24-31 May 2026 in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Athletics, gymnastics, football, archery, futsal, and badminton student-athletes spent two weeks of in-house training at the DC-UP Sports Complex prior to the competition.

Region XI proudly ranks 3rd in the nationwide medal tally, securing 34 golds, 32 silvers, and 34 bronzes.

We look forward to working together in strengthening sports in the region!

IN PHOTOS | PASUNDAYAG 2026

The 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 lit up the DC-UP Sports Complex Training Gym on 25 May 2026 with an exciting celebration of dance, culture, and creativity. The event featured an energetic mix of Philippine folk dance, ballroom dance, street dance, basic fitness routines, and a special intermission performance from the UP Mindanao Dance Ensemble 💃🕺

The stage came alive through performances such as Sakuting, Jota Camarines, Binislakan Habanera, Narcisena, Waltz, Tango, Jive, and dynamic street dance and fitness numbers presented by students from the BSS, AASS, and PE dance courses.

The event also highlighted the presentation of the Mr. & Mrs. DHK candidates, adding charm and excitement to the celebration.

These performances were led by UP Mindanao students from the Department of Human Kinetics, making the event a vibrant showcase of talent, culture, and youthful energy.

The Department of Human Kinetics continued the AASS applicants’ screening and evaluation with the second batch of aspiring student-athletes on 20 May 2026 at the DC-UP Sports Complex Training Gym.

Candidates completed a series of assessments designed to evaluate their readiness and potential, including the Sports Readiness Test (SRT), essay examination, Sports Skill Test (SST), interview, and counseling test.

ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Screening for the Associate in Arts Sports Studies (AASS) applicants is 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐃 today, in line with the memorandum issued by the City of Davao earlier.

This is to give way to clearing operations and ensure the safety and welfare of individuals affected by flooding incidents in the city due to heavy rainfall.

Screening will resume tomorrow, 𝟐𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐖𝐞𝐝).
