In a city like Davao City, where development continues to accelerate, the question is no longer whether we expand, but whether we do so responsibly. This advocacy goes beyond what is seen on screen. It challenges us to recognize that every tree removed and every wetland built over carries consequences that return to us through heat, floods, and declining public health.

What we protect today defines how livable our city will be tomorrow. Science has already shown us the way. What remains is the will to act, to plan better, and to choose long-term resilience over short-term, band-aid solutions.
