The Philippine College of Technology (PCT), originally known as Philippine School of Technology, was established in 1993 by its Founding Chairman & CEO, Dr.Gener A. It initially offered short-term programs, where students were able to train in a particular skills as typing, auto servicing, machine servicing and electronics servicing, to name a few. After a few years, PCT’s short-term program offer

ings widened in answer to the growing to the demand for skilled workers in the paramedical industry. It offered Nursing Aide, Pharmacy Aide, Physical Therapy Aide, and Physiotherapy Aide Programs. PCT also started to offer one-and two-year Tech/Voc programs registered with TESDA: Hotel & Restaurant Management, Computer Programming, Computer Secretarial, Computer Technology, Automotive Technology, Electronics Technology, Health Care Services and more. In 2000, the school officially became Philippine College of Technology with the introduction of its first degree program, BS in Hotel & Restaurant Management. Since then, PCT has endeavored to improve its academic standards and increase its varied course offerings. PCT now offers a total of 11 degree programs, 6 two-year programs, 5 one-year programs, 26 short-term programs and 5 training workshops. PCT offers In-Demand Ladderized Programs for Local & International Market. PCT now also offers 1st year & 2nd year Junior Technical Highschool department with emphasis in Leadership and Technopreneurship. It is also an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Review Center and with a pro-native English speaking instructor. PCT is in partnership also with bizzBoost, school of Entrepreneurship SME Training center of PCT. PCT is a TESDA-accredited competency assessment center for Household Services NC II, Caregiving NC II, Food & Beverages Services NC II, Commercial Cooking NC II and Food Processing NC II, since September 2008. It also has a Public Employment Services Office (PESO) accredited by the Dept. of Labor and Employment (DOLE), which facilitates jobs placement for its students and alumni.
