A meaningful initiative by the School of Nursing, in partnership with the BSN Fraternity & Sorority, as part of the Community Engagement and Extension Services (CEES 2026). The activity brought together students, organizers, and community members to promote safety, preparedness, and resilience. Through interactive discussions and knowledge sharing, it strengthened disaster preparedness while recognizing the valuable indigenous knowledge of the Matigsalog community.
It also highlighted the importance of education and early warning systems in helping communities respond effectively to potential disasters, while fostering collaboration, cultural appreciation, and stronger ties with the people of Sitio Panuhuran. ๐ค
Together, we take small yet meaningful steps toward building safer, more prepared, and more resilient communities โ because true service begins when knowledge meets compassion. ๐โจ
