𝐂𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄❗️

As part of academic monitoring, the Vice President for Academic Affairs conducted a thorough review of the syllabus, report of grades (ROGs), student performance analysis, class record, test questionnaires and table of specifications, and other related documents to ensure the smooth implementation of instructional policies.

Together with the Department Chairpersons of the the programs 𝗕𝗦 𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘, 𝗕𝗦 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, the monitoring was successfully conducted and resulted in an overall descriptive rating of 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬.

The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 celebrated the Christmas season at L’Negrense, Lapu-Lapu St., Digos City, on December 15. The CMAS Dean, Prof. Kris Kristofferson Tan, delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude and appreciation to the faculty and staff. The celebration continued with a fellowship dinner, filled with laughter and joy as everyone shared a meal and enjoyed each other’s company. 💜🎉

This celebration highlighted the 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟. The event was filled with meaningful activities and moments of laughter that strengthened professional relationships and fostered a warm and joyful atmosphere. It also served as an opportunity to reflect on the year’s accomplishments and to express appreciation for everyone’s dedication and hard work.

The 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐑) Communities is a heartfelt initiative built on collaboration and shared purpose. Partnering with Barangay Colorado, under the leadership of Barangay Captain Hon. Empuerto. This effort reflects the spirit of unity and collective responsibility.

With the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), Student Organizations, and the College of Mathematics, Arts and Sciences (CMAS) joining forces, the program strives to walk side by side with the community, empowering through education, strengthening partnerships, and nurturing sustainable growth.

Together, we aspire to create communities that are not only stronger and smarter, but also more connected and compassionate.

The College of Mathematics, Arts, and Sciences General Education Department Chairperson, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞 𝐒. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐚, conducted a series of 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 to monitor teaching quality.

This semestral observation aims to evaluate how teachers maintain effective instructional strategies that support quality education. Indeed, DSSC remains committed to providing quality education for all.

The College of Mathematics, Arts, and Sciences (CMAS) at Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) is proud to welcome the recently appointed leaders who will shape the college's future.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐚, 𝐌𝐀𝐄𝐃-𝐏𝐄, serves as the first Program Head of General Education since the establishment of CMAS. His excellence in leadership has made the department more active and engaged in various academic and co-curricular activities, resulting in a more productive and dynamic learning environment. Now that he has been officially appointed as the program head, he aims to continue his legacy and expertise by leading the department to the success of the entire college.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐁. 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐜 has been appointed as the program head for the Bachelor of Science in Biology program. Her academic success in biology is a promising starting point for raising the quality of the program and motivating educators and learners alike.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐏. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐒𝐜 was recently appointed program head for the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Her knowledge and expertise put her in a strong position to guide the program toward academic success and significant contributions to environmental research and sustainability.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐑. 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧 has been appointed as the program head of the Master of Arts in Education-Mathematics Teaching, and also assigned as the Research Coordinator of the College of Graduate and Professional Education. His expertise in teaching mathematics and research greatly contributes to the success of the program and the entire college.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐀. 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐒 will now lead the Davao del Sur State College Employees Association (DSSCEA). Being elected president, Prof. Arcon is ready to share her knowledge, experience, and vision to help the organization grow and create meaningful opportunities for its members.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱 𝐒. 𝐂𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 was also recently elected as president of the Davao del Sur State College Faculty Association, and appointed program head of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. His excellent leadership and inspiring vision for the future of the entire college will guide the faculty, fostering growth, teamwork, and lasting progress.

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐄𝐝𝐧𝐚 𝐀. 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚, 𝐌𝐒 has been elected as the Vice President of Davao del Sur State College Faculty Association. Her expertise in leadership is a great help towards the growth of the organization and the entire school community.

Empowered by the new leaders, the college will surely grow and thrive for the good of its faculty, students, and the entire school community.
