📢 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao announces the implementation of asynchronous classes and work-from-home arrangements from October 28 to November 2, 2026, subject to the following guidelines:

1️⃣ 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀. All classes in undergraduate and graduate programs, including the College of Law and diploma programs, shall be conducted asynchronously during the specified period. Faculty members are directed to provide appropriate learning materials, activities, and instructions to ensure the continuity of academic instruction.

2️⃣ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. All faculty and administrative personnel shall adopt a work-from-home arrangement during the same period, except for personnel rendering essential services, particularly security personnel and Infirmary Hospital personnel, who shall continue reporting for duty to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential services.

All heads of offices and academic units are directed to ensure the proper implementation of these arrangements and the continuity of necessary operations and services.

Regular face-to-face classes and on-site work arrangements shall resume on November 3, 2026.

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao and the Gita Mittal Foundation of India, through Kalabha Academy, are taking an important step toward that vision on academic and skills collaboration, digital learning, and women empowerment.

The collaboration opens pathways to explore accessible digital learning, stackable micro-credential programmes, joint academic and professional training, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in agriculture. It also places particular emphasis on women’s education, digital literacy, leadership, entrepreneurship, and participation in fields such as agriculture, engineering, and technology.

These priorities offer opportunities to advance three interconnected Sustainable Development Goals:

•SDG 4 (Quality Education) - exploring accessible digital learning and skills-based educational opportunities;
•SDG 5 (Gender Equality) - placing women’s education, leadership, and empowerment within the collaboration;
•SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)- building international cooperation between institutions in the Philippines and India.

For MSU–Maguindanao, the significance of this partnership lies in its potential to connect global knowledge and skills development with local needs. It offers an opportunity to broaden learning beyond traditional classrooms, strengthen international academic exchange, and explore initiatives that can serve students, faculty, and the communities the University is committed to serving.

At its heart is a shared understanding that international collaboration should not only connect institutions across borders; it should also expand access, strengthen capabilities, and create more inclusive opportunities for people whose potential deserves to be supported.

Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti A. Limbona, represented by Dr. Arceli Naraga, Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development, led the virtual MOA signing. Other delegates from the university included Dr. Raquel Santiago-Arenas, Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Sustainable Engagements; Dr. Ana Margarita Agao-Agao; Dr. Saima Maulana; and Dr. Rolly James Cheng. The Foundation’s delegation included Mr. Ambuj Bhatt, Principal Administrator, and Dr. Diana Bozhilova, Chief Strategy Officer of the Gita Mittal Foundation, along with representatives of Kalabha Academy.

As the two institutions move forward, the shared task is to translate this commitment into purposeful programmes, sustained cooperation, and measurable benefits for learners and communities.

𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐆𝐏𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao, in partnership with the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) under the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), is hosting the second batch of the National Government Procurement Act (NGPA) Training Caravan, a capacity-building initiative for government procurement personnel. Registration is now open.

The training will be held on November 4 to 6, 2026, at the Marcian Garden Hotel, Gov. Camins Avenue, Zamboanga City. It is designed to equip participants with advanced knowledge, updated guidelines, and practical best practices to ensure strict compliance with Republic Act No. 12009 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).

Procurement practitioners, government personnel, and other interested participants are invited to join the Training on the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) and Its IRR.

The registration fee for the training is Eight Thousand Pesos (₱8,000.00) per participant, inclusive of the following:

-Meals (morning and afternoon snacks and lunch)
-Training kits
-GPPB-recognized Resource Speakers’ fees and logistics
-Lifetime access to PROHub

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Pickleball and Lawn Tennis Courts during its 53rd Founding Anniversary, with CCEO of AAIIBP Amenah “Mina” F. Pangandaman joining Chancellor Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona and university officials for the occasion.

This marks the University's efforts to improve its sports facilities and give students more opportunities to engage in athletic activities.

While the two Pickleball Courts are ready for use, the completion of the Lawn Tennis Court remains part of the University's continuing development plans. Once completed, the facilities will give student-athletes and members of the University community additional spaces to develop their skills and participate in sports. The initiative reflects MSU-Maguindanao's effort to support student development beyond the classroom and create opportunities for students to grow through sports. As the University continues to enhance its facilities, it remains committed to providing an environment where students can pursue academics while developing their talents and potential in other fields.

𝗔𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗔 𝗠𝗠𝗫𝗫𝗩𝗜 | 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦’ 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗥, 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao celebrated Students’ Day—Aurelia MMXXVI, facilitated by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) on October 9, 2026, as part of the University’s 53rd Founding Anniversary celebration. The event featured vibrant colors, lively performances, and activities celebrating cultural diversity and student camaraderie.

The celebration began with SayawOne, an energetic dance activity led by Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) students from the College of Education, followed by various parlor games organized by the SSC. These activities encouraged friendly competition, teamwork, and interaction among students.

The program opened with a cultural salvo presented by the Boys’ and Girls’ Dormitory, under the leadership of Dormitory Manager Florentino Grantos, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the University’s Tri-People communities. This was followed by an opening message delivered by Vice Chancellor for Student Services and Development Dr. Ramjie Y. Odin.

The excitement continued with “Sino Ka Dyan?”, a group impersonation competition in which the Integrated Laboratory Science High School (ILSHS) emerged as champion for its impressive portrayal of the iconic K-pop group 2NE1.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated “Palamata nu Bangsa” runway competition highlighted the diverse cultures and identities of the Tri-People. Through their cultural attire and runway presentations, participants showcased the beauty of unity in diversity, with the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) securing the championship title.

The celebration culminated in a Color Splash and band performance at the field stage, featuring the Suara Landaw Chorale. Students gathered to enjoy the music, vibrant colors, and festive atmosphere, creating memorable experiences that reflected the spirit of Aurelia MMXXVI.

Beyond the festivities, Aurelia MMXXVI provided an opportunity for students to appreciate cultural diversity, strengthen their connections, and foster a sense of belonging within the MSU-Maguindanao community.

Students’ Day reaffirmed the University’s commitment to fostering an inclusive campus where diverse cultures, shared experiences, and student unity remain integral to university life.

Mindanao State University–Maguindanao congratulates Mindanao State University - General Santos for achieving a 100% passing rate through its pioneering batch of Doctor of Medicine graduates in the October 2026 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), and Mindanao State University–Marawi for achieving a 96.49% overall passing rate and earning the distinction of Top 2 Performing School in the category of schools with 50–99 examinees.

These achievements reflect the MSU System’s continued efforts to foster excellence and uphold its commitment to an inclusive university that serves the diverse communities of Mindanao.

Alhamdulillah! Congratulations to the new physicians and the Colleges of Medicine of MSU-General Santos and MSU-Marawi on this remarkable achievement.
