On April 9, 2026, the Andres Bonifacio College ROTCU actively participated in the โLAKAD-KALAYAAN 2026โ as part of the unified observance of the 84th Anniversary of the Day of Valor (โAraw ng Kagitinganโ). This significant event formed part of the nationwide unified observance honoring the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino veterans during World War II.
Under the theme โGiting ng Bayani,Pamana sa Salinlahi"captures the essence of heroism's enduring impact. It signifies that the courage and sacrifices of those who came before us are a treasured legacy, meant to be cherished and carried forward by succeeding generations. It's a reminder of the power of inherited values and the responsibility to pass them on.
The activity commenced early in the morning with ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ (๐๐๐), ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ, ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐จ๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ and with other participants from various sectors including veterans, reservists, Philippine National Police(PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP), Philippine Cost Guard (PCG), local employee and different ROTC Unit.
The ROTC cadets of Andres Bonifacio College demonstrated discipline, unity, and patriotism as they joined the commemorative walk alongside fellow participants.Throughout the march, the ROTC unit maintained proper formation and decorum, embodying the core values of leadership, discipline, and civic responsibility. Their participation not only showcased their commitment to training but also reinforced their role as partners in nation-building and guardians of historical memory.The event was led by COL MANDY T LIBERTINO PA , the 902nd CDC Director.
